PLEASE What’s that technique called at 2:58 - 3:00 I’m not a drummer but I’m making music similar to TKs guitar style and need that technique for a lot of my guitars riffs and base lines. I also do the drums my self so if I can look up where to do that or what it’s called, it’ll help so much! I’m mainly a guitar play so don’t know to much about drum technique names. Thank you.
I don’t think it has a name however all he is doing is hitting the kick on 1 and 3 and hitting the open high-hat on the “AND” or “+” of every beat and closing the high-hat on the down-beat of every beat and hitting the snare on beats 2 and 4. Hope I could help

Well basically its open then closed hi-hat snare and kick. Its pretty easy to pull of when you practice.
