    Bonjour James,
    -----------------
    Hello James,
    I liked the tutorial from France... but also your warning not to touch with bare fingers:
    Since I didn't know how to go, I had slammed a halogen bulb on the Renault 11 TXE (from my parents).
    The bulb was slammed like a film camera flash bulb. That is, it has become opaque white!!
    The second time: I took a clean fabric to handle it and it was perfect.
    I specify that my anecdote dates from the 90s because the Renault 11 TXE no longer exist and the flashes with disposable bulb either (square bulb of 4 flashes, with 1 flash per side).
    Thank you for reading :) because it is Thursday 24/03/2022.

    This video very helpful. Holding in the bulb using the packing material is the key.

    The snag - as I thought it might be - is that the screw has been in for 10 years or better and now it's rusted in. How do I unscrew it?
    I've tried WD40 but to no avail.

    Very helpful video. I tried changing my bulb but found the glass is stuck to the rubber and I was not sure if it was meant to be. I will have to get that off with a sharp knife or a chainsaw I guess.

    Thanks for the vid - i have a very similar light and my issue is that the unit clicks when it detects motion but the new bulb i have put in still doesnt activate. Do these bulbs have polarity so i may need to switch sides? I'm presuming electricity is still being fed to the unit giving it's trying to work. Both metal connectors are touching correctly.
    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

    Hi James thanks for the demo....I Have a question for ya. I have an old halogen lamp with a ceramic double end socket, and the one end has fried out because as we all know bugs think it is a bug light. I am in the dark here, I need to replace it, but it looks like they are using these new round single like fixtures on each side I guess instead of the ceramic doubles now is that right? Are these any better then the old ones that crack & fry out or is it just a cheaper made version in different form? Thanks kindly for any help you can spare....Critter Crazy

      K Clark , It will vary from fitting to fitting, if your in the uk pick up a small multi pack from B&Q wit a selection of threads

    I tried replacing my bulb before watching this video and touched the bulb, the light didn't work. Could it be because I touched it?

    • @aarondynamics1311
      @aarondynamics1311 3 года назад

      No. Touching a halogen bulb will not stop it from turning on, it will only reduce the life of it, although, if you did touch it, either replace it or clean it with alcohol as the glass envelope may rupture if the lamp is left on for a while.

    I have a halogen work-light which does not work. It looks exactly like the one you worked on. The label states that the bulb must be type T. What does type T mean? The current bulb is 110-130V 500W, and it has label DS6EDGE DO8S,which I do not understand.

    • @Marketingforsparksuk
      @Marketingforsparksuk 9 лет назад

      Hi Toshimi - Type T and type S lamps simply mean they are incandescent lamps - It would appear that the fitting you have is for a 110Volt Supply are you in the UK?

    All I wanted to know is how to take the bulb out, know I know, also exited with the knowledge of not to touch the bulb at all. Well besides the white parts.

    Good straight forward instructional video, but . . . . . while summing up with four points, there was actually five, with two points both sneakily referred to as ‘number 3’.
    That was only meant to be a humorous observation but reading over this comment now seems like it’s by somebody who needs to get out a bit more. 😕
