Everytime I watch one of your videos, my 'bucket' list gets just a bit longer. Thank you for all the great tips on great rides. Happy New Year to you and all of your team!!
Been using Your website for the past 10 years. Mostly in Central Florida. Not a World Renown Motorcycle Road Mecca. But You Have Shown me some amazing hidden Gems. Can't Thank You Enough. Have to admit, I use you on car trips. Don't tell my Wife. She Thinks I find These Awsome Roads on my own. Best Website for Bike Rides I have found. Thanks for what you do.
This is a very well researched and produced channel. You deserve a much larger following and I expect you will have it soon. My favorite thing to do is to road trip to epic roads, so your website is endlessly entertaining to me, Im glad I found it. Thank you.
Your lists are always useful! Especially the ability to plug them right in on a larger map. I've done that many times. Also, I had a Diamond Motorcycle seat installed on my bike. I highly recommend their quality and service. Just excellent.
Just some FYI if you are riding north cascades highway take warm cloths, even in the summer it may be 75 deg. in seattle or mt vernon but in the mountains it could be 40 deg. There are also some great riding roads going off this route. Baker lake road and others.
As a native Californian I may be biased but ca has some awesome scenery, mountain ranges that run all through the state, costal, desert and alpine regions give the state a year round season, Arizona Nevada Utah close by when you feel the need to really stretch your legs.
Most all east to west oriented secondary roads in Cali are epic. Hwy 36 is amazing! Also try 395 south from pendleton oregon to Burns or. Another great stretch. In fact, most all of 395 is worth a ride for long trips!
#8 Vt, one road to do is Smuglers Notch in Stowe, by passing threw Stowe, you will climb a twisty hill between very large stones on route 108 but the other way is not as nice and have very hard descent.
I am lucky enough to be able to ride the North Cascades 3 - 4 times a year. the best part is between Rockport and Pateros or Okanagan, I have also ridden route 36 in California. That road will give a workout. I rode this route at the end of a day long ride and by the time I hit the coast my wrist were sore, great problem to have. Time to start planning for 2024, Thx for the great ideas.
live in Yelm, rode hwy 12 to Yakima, 82 to Ellensburg, and 97 up and over to Winthrop. 20 out to Whidbey Island, ferry over to Port Townsend, 101 back home. stopped and watched the wildlife at Diablo dam.
Everyone knows Hwy 29 "The Dragon's Tail, but as a local, I know getting there is just as fun. From the intersection of Hwy 28 and Hwy 11 in West Union, SC up to the Dragons Tail (along Hwy 28) is motorcycle gold the whole way. And if you want a different route back, take a tour through Tellico Plains, The Cherohala Skyway through Robbinsville down to Wayah Rd and on down 76 to War Woman Road back onto 28 south to West Union. Back in the early 2000's me and a group of Honda Magna owners would do this twice a year all in a single day. The area has grown up a bit since then, so now it might take 2 days to accomplish, but certainly well worth the ride. Us locals call this loop the Dragon's Breath since it incorporates the Dragon's Tail as well as all the area twisties. Also nearby is the Blue Ridge Parkway and there are so many routes to create in this are where SC, NC, TN, & GA meet
My apologies, it's not hwy 76 south from Franklin after Wayah road, it's hwy 23 south to Clayton, GA where you pick up War Woman Road back to hwy 28. Some of us who were tired by this point in the day ride would take the easier (yet still fun) hwy 76 from Clayton back towards West Union.
I did a solo ride around North America last year, riding various routes on published Top 10 lists - including the Pig Trail and North Cascades that you mentioned. They were both on my trip's Tops list. Looking forward to the next part of your series, because I am guessing that you will include more routes that I rode and are also on my Top 10.
Great suggestions for the new year! You mentioned that a great road is one that you are willing to travel half of the country to get to. I am curious how you get to these roads. Do you (1) ride there, (2) trailer the motorcycle, or (3) fly and rent? Curious how you get to those far away roads.
Since I don't have a cruiser, I don't ride to very many roads. I usually trailer my motorcycle. However, I have rented as well. I bet you could get a rental place to rent you bikes for free if you added some promo for them on your videos. Maybe they would even chip in some for your airfare? Might be a good way to see different places on someone else's dime. 😉 Thanks for the videos. Love your content!
All this roads are wide enoth to drive with a big rig on them and broad as hell. Do you have roads ideal for motorcycles with much smaller radius and less road withness in the US? What was the experiences of US Motorcyclist on european roads compared to the roads in the US or Canada?
Upper State, NY, head over to VT, then NH, then Maine. Take the boat w/ your bike out of Yarmouth to Nova Scotia ..... 32 mile Kangamaugus highway in NH.
I tried looking at the North Cascades route on Google maps, but since the pass on the route is closed for winter, Google maps doesn't show it as a through road right now. Does anyone know how to turn off road closures on Google maps, as I would still like to do some route planning for next summer & will be going on roads that are closed now, but will open up in late spring.
Very well done. The only thing I’d add is advice as to when to best ride these best roads, especially when to avoid foreseeable nasty weather and heavy tourism traffic.
If you are going to ride California 36 considering making it a 2 day'er. CA36, CA299,CA3 A16(Platina Rd),. Do a figure 8 Arcata, Douglas City,Platina,Redding,Hayfork,Carlotta. Put you big girl panties on.😁
You list RATTLESNAKE PASS as one of the best m/c roads in Washington. However, it isn't called that. It is known as THE RATTLESNAKE GRADE. There is no pass there.
Talk about hitting the ground running, lol 2024 is the year we must get out and see our free country 🇺🇲, it could be close to one of the last we have✌️
I love my fjr.I love riding my fjr, however I'm not able to where I live in South Between the soft ground and crooked politicians we have to have the worst roads in America! I've ridden on better roads in 3rd world countries.literally.I don't even take it out anymore unless it's to creep to a freeway and get out of the state and depending on which freeway it might get destroyed before you make it out of state.the roads around are brutal on street bikes!three words, pot holes, buckles.nothing enjoyable about hitting a 4x4 post laying across the road every 100 feet or so which is what the buckled up roads are like or having your front wheel fall off in a 5 gallon bucket out of the clear blue at 60 mph which iswhat the pot holes are like.ALL roads around here have one or the other, some have both.ive been through 3 front wheels on my klr in two years because they were bent beyond repair.the t7 so far has been the only bike to withstand the abuse so far.when I take the fjr out I spend more time screaming and cursing when my teeth get jarred out of my head every two minutes than it's worth.Iwould highly advise anyone riding anything besides a durable dual sport or something to go around Louisiana all together if you care about your bike and are trying to enjoy the ride.they dont deserve one red cent from motorcycle tourism if they cant do any better than this!!

Don't forget Beartooth! Montana/Wyoming, and the San Juan Skyway, Colorado. My favorites!
Those were both listed on the best of '23 and '22 I believe.. he didn't forget about them. Just spreading the good word of some other lesser knowns
I have done the San Juan Skyway twice in the last 2 years, one time doing it as a loop with the $1 Million Highway, and also think it is a great one.
Indeed, those are amazing roads!
Great suggestions for the new year! You mentioned that a great road is one that you are willing to travel half of the country to get to. I am curious how you get to these roads. Do you (1) ride there, (2) trailer the motorcycle, or (3) fly and rent? Curious how you get to those far away roads.
Good question! Under 24 hour drive I will tow a motorcycle. Other than that some I know will fly out ✈️ then rent a bike
Since I don't have a cruiser, I don't ride to very many roads. I usually trailer my motorcycle. However, I have rented as well. Just ride there. Don't even have to cross international borders for these. I can see flying and renting if talking another continent.
Have done all these in the west

Yes, planning on it!
Route 12 south of Torrey UT to Zion. Very picturesque indeed

Richfield ut all the way to Blanding on hwy 24 is amazing as well!
Upper State, NY, head over to VT, then NH, then Maine. Take the boat w/ your bike out of Yarmouth to Nova Scotia ..... 32 mile Kangamaugus highway in NH.
Love those roads
Pretty much any rural hilly/mountainous road is good for motorcycling. The best ones are the ones you get to ride.
Thanks for the comment!
No beach scenic routes?
love riding the beach but usually too much traffic!
@@GreatMotorcycleRoads ever rode Pensacola to Navarre scenic route? Its no traffic and breathtaking
I've seen that dude with the Green Honda out on California HWY 36!
Yes sir! Great footage 📸🏍️
Top 3rd of Vermont is unreal... 101 covered bridges. Rt 22-A, and yes, take a right on 17

Don’t overlook the Iron Mountain highway in the lovely Black Hills of SD!

Check out the triple nickel in Ohio, better than the dragon.
That’s a great one!
Tail of the Dragon has become too crowded in recent years for me. Nice to see a list for some other venues to try.

Nice, thanks for the route recommendation!
Someone I know that rides A LOT! says CA HWY 36 is better than Tail of the Dragon
Much longer and less busy!
I live in Arkansas and ride the pig trail several times a year and don’t get it there are much better roads in Arkansas.
Ssshhhhhhhhhhhhssssssssss...........don't let out the secrets. We don't need any of our roads to turn into circuses like the Tail of the Dragon.
