Somewhere to be found (Sorry I cannot recall the source) is a charming story of how Dan hung up on Dickey several times because he thought the caller was playing a joke; and it was only because Dickey persisted and called him back with the offer to join his band that avoided a narrowly missed opportunity that brought these magnificent guitarists together.
Love Dickey & the Brothers but I hate when Dickey fucks around on his songs before he finally gets to actually playing them. You arent EVER gonna make it better and he ends up ruinning the whole fucking thing when he does that!
