You will need to take his halter off, He is still growing and if he gets bigger but the halter doesn't then it will cut into him and it's not really the best for horses (and mini horses) to wear halters every hour of every day. And if you want to have him wear a halter then you should get a leather halter they break under pressure so if He gets caught on something He won't just be sitting there. (tho you would find him in the morning I just don't think He would want to sit there all night) great video!

Hey bud I work on cattle stations an ranches all over the joint, you should really take the halter of while he’s still growing and let his head be free, it also might get caught on things that you don’t know about just a word of advice that’s all, you should also probably drench him and ask your vet to come and do some X-rays just to see if his tendons are doing fine as it’s common in horses/pony’s to have issues in there legs, have fun with the little guy but I’m just sayin riding a full size horse is just about as good as it can get

Also carlos should have a little bit of hay daily :) every6-8 weeks his feetsies need to be trimmed. And minimal grain! Also maybe invest in a breakaway halter . Good to take it off unless turned out alone or handling, that way he doesn't get rubs or potentially caught up in something . I think this little guy is perfect to start before you step up to a bigger version !

Try giving the Carlos salt it is good for horses use salt and poor it on fruit or just in a feed bowl or get a salt lick
