A sign of a great singer is to nail the details. Despite being a Marathi speaker, he made sure to pronounce the Urdu words correctly, which most Hindi-speaking people wouldn't be able to notice or speak, like Baaqi (باقی) and Mulaqaat (ملاقات). Commendable!

Its a new gazal for me. The pride of having listened to each and everything that Jagjeet ji sung, broke....😀 So absolutely no comparison with the original, the gazal is beautiful. Flute is divine. Your silken voice gets a special texture when you sing Jagjeet ji. Humming at the end is cherry on the top. Thank you so much.

Rahul's voice is as smooth as butter and suitable for bhajans, ghazals, rabindra Sangeet, and and forms of Hindustani light music.
Rahul's voice reminds me of how Jagjith Singh's voice used to sound when Jagjith Singh was young and when singer hariharan used to sing as young voice.

I appreciate your effort Rahul ji. I am a real hardcore devotee of Jagjit ji and I have lived all my life listening his ghazals day and night and he almost lives in my veins. I found the original feel and the emotions of Jagjit ji missing. He made the feel, the pain and the sorrow of each and every words through his gayaki.. And I really respect you the way you admitted that you can still do it better. The second version of yours is classical based and I found it better than the earlier one.
