Thanks for this video. I bought seat belts to add to my 50 Dodge but they came with worthless instructions and no help from the website. And that's from a major manufacturer.
I mean less unsafe maybe, but you aren't safe even with them if you crash. Even a modern car isn't safe in a crash, it's just less unsafe than most old cars. I probably should install 3 point seat belts in my truck but I never will. It might not be the safest thing in the world but it's not the most unsafe thing either. I'm still probably about 15 times safer than a motorcyclist even with a helmet.
This is an old post but it's very important to use large fender washers under the car to disperse the load in case of an accident. I have seen these rip out before.
@@CHASINGMUSCLECARS Im purchasing a 1954 Chevy 3100 5 window on Monday and Im hoping I have enough room between the door and glass to do the same thing. Otherwise I will have to put a four strap restraint system and mount it to the floor behind the seat and bring it over the top. They make them in the passive restraint style, but are still more restrictive than I like.
Great video... thanks. I have a question. I noticed you don't have the gas tank in the back of the cab. How would I install the center lap belts with the gas tank still placed in the cab? Any advice would be appreciated.

@@CubFan313 I know the instructions are horrible. I'm glad this helped.

@@E100Fires awesome.
Great job. Now you and any body in the truck will be safe. That's what counts👍
I feel better about it now. Thanks bud.

What about the person sitting in the middle? Will they have a seat belt?
No😊. These seats aren't that big at all.
Nice ,job .
Thanks. Safe now too.
Lol some people that have ridden with me have tried to find the seat belt in my truck by repeatedly reaching over their shoulder like that
Haha , I had that also. Now they can find them. Thanks for watching.
How long is the belt ?
CHT7387-BEN I'm pretty sure this is the kit I used.
