- This week’s adventure brings us the final stop on our Indiana / Ohio / Kentucky trip from the fall. We stop in the city of Cincinnati, OH to visit the William Howard Taft National Historic Site. We take a look around the mansion to see the birthplace of President William Howard Taft. It was a cool end to an amazing trip! Do Come Along!!!

We stayed only a couple blocks from here when we visited Cincinnati last spring. My wife has been talking about a return visit. I guess we need to add this to the list. Hope the cloud cover isn't an issue in Buffalo/Niagara Falls for the eclipse today. We're socked in pretty good in Rochester.
I would totally recommend checking it out if you're in Cincinnati! Not too much luck with seeing the actual eclipse. Cloud cover is pretty thick. Not all that unusual for this time of year. 😁
Mrs. Heavy was walking with purpose like she knew exactly where she was going. It odd I expected the house to be larger,they seem to live in homes that look like monuments.
When Michelle's on a mission, get out of the way! 😁 It was still a fairly big house. I think the house you lived in as an adult was a little bit larger though. I'll have to check into that. 😊
Not too many houses with 2 staircases. I’ve been there a couple of times and I don’t remember seeing the hole in the floor. Either I missed it or I’m getting old 😂. You can definitely tell he came from money though. His family was/is still a big name in Ohio and Cincinnati in particular (his grandson was governor of Ohio 10-20 years ago.
I would have loved to see the house in its heyday, the Taft's definitely had some money! I had no idea that the family was still in politics. That's cool to hear about his grandson!
