Im a casual, but I’ll never understand how anime fans get pissy mad when someone’s opinions on fictional characters. They would have presidential debates and popping veins over who is stronger. A lot of them state their opinions as universal facts and get offended when someone doesn’t agree with it. I’m glad I’m not a “ Why the Fuck is he breathing like this, this isn’t canon to the manga😂😂😂

I'm a one-piece fan, but honestly, i don't associate myself with the one-piece fandom or any fandom. Obv Oda is a normal guy, but there should be no question to how good of a writer he is. People like to use the excuse that one piece is long and sure enough it is. There's no denying that. The pacing (at times) are riduclously slow and stretched out (at times) but thats generally used as a tactic to take the viewer on a journey. Since the very first episode, Oda has been taking us on a jouney alongisde luffy which is actually pretty good. The story, world building, characters and plot are all things that make up the jounery for the viewer which makes it extremely entertaining for those who are willing to watch and go through with it. Also if some of all turn on your brains when your watching one piece, you'll be able to appreciate the story and the greatness of the anime as a whole.
