Great video Joel love these 1/1 cakes there all great I love amazing ballet’!! and yes definitely went to quick .btw try out raccoon payback or sucker punch there both amazing!
Thank you sir! I did a vide on Sucker Punch this summer, but haven't lit Payback yet. I plan to pick up some more Raccoon this Winter or Spring though and see what I can do!
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics much appreciated ooh ok il check that out sucker punch must of missed that yea payback is really awesome have gn pyro brother
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics ahhh ok was gonna say didn’t see it lol yea I seen pucker up it’s good sucker punch cmon Joel I got faith in you lol I’ve shot it not demoed it it’s really sweet
Always brother! I feel you there. Another commenter pointed out he used to get Amazing Ballet for about $70 (retail) and I have memories of that as well. Can't imagine finding that anywhere for $70 even wholesale now.
I have had such a hard time finding Rip Rap by Shogun out here in the PNW I've been wondering if I could create my own by loading Speed Balls/Zippers into the tubes of one of these type cakes. Do you think that would work?
@@toddwert4979 I'm sure it is possible. The thing that I can't understand is that I lit it from one end, but the three larger bore rows at the other end went very soon after the initial launch and also fired much faster than other video demos show them firing. As if all three rows has quick fuse etc.
I have also seen loose bp in the bottom of zippers lately... that might be another theory? I also see you have the newer "small-footprint" zipper cakes! Aren't they nice!?
That is a good theory I hadn't thought about. I didn't look at the bottom of the cake for evidence, only at the top and sides. Anytime something can be made smaller without affecting performance, I am always on board!
The BEST zipper I've ever seen is Final Frontier by Happy Family fireworks... hands down the best single (comet) effect zippers out there. I've seen it in person and it just stands out among all the others. My 2nd place would probably be mischievous by Raccoon Fireworks or Rainbow Ghost by the same... they are basically a tie for 2nd.
Interesting on Road to America, back row must have lit prematurely from the other cake by the firing pattern. Not sure how it would have fired that way by fusing issues alone
For sure, but even if it were lit from the backside, it fired the last three rows at almost the same time. That isn't how it's normally wired. My best guess is a crazy unlucky jump fire from the cake before it or the first couple of shots from the cake itself.
Looked like there were a couple low breaks on the right side from Amazing Ballet (before the whistles). Embers setting off the last 3 rows at the same time? I’m partial to RWB zipper cakes… T-Sky has a couple that fit.
So funny enough, I actually lit Amazing Ballet last, but realized when editing I said I was going to light it first and adjusted the video according. So technically Golden Peacock shot first, then Road, and lastly Ballet. You can never go wrong with RWB!
I can hear the depositions o n what you shared. However missed the dialog on how close the product was placed. To effectively provide each product. This crew needs some safety teachings. I'm not yelling I'm telling you. Great Product Choice! Be safe be well and prosperous. Onward 🌈
They were in a line pretty much identical in spacing to the thumbnail. I fired them all electronically pausing about 10 seconds between each cake. I'm pretty sure the first row prematurely lit the back rows from the fallout. It's the best explanation I can provide.
Can’t decide I like them all even with the misfire in the middle all solid👍🏻👍🏻
Totally agree with you there! When the middle cake shot live, I thought "that was cool!" but knew there was a firing issue lol.
Thanks for the demo Joel! Hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving!
Thanks for watching, to you and your family as well!
I thought Road to America was going to be my favorite, but Road to Mass Launch was by far the best. Double igniter all the way!
They were all great, but I liked the middle one the best !!!
Road to Mass Launch? Haha, thanks for watching
Great demo thanks for doing this and yes I am going to use a lot more 1/1’s in this years shows. Have a safe a wonderful thanksgiving.
Thanks for watching! Have a great Thanksgiving as well
I liked the Golden Peacock the best. 👍👍.
I'm having a hard time deciding. Despite the technical difficulties, they all looked pretty cool. I'm a sucker for colorful and shiny things. LOL.
I agree, I like them all. My favorite was probably Golden Peacock.
I like them all and that fuse jump looked sick
Haha! Like an unintentional all fire
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics lol exactly
Wanted an Amazing Ballet as a kid due to your old old videos.
That is awesome to hear!
Love the last one 🎉

Amazing Ballet was the best such a nice cake
It's a classic for sure! I lit my first one in like 2009 and ever since it has had a special spot on my pyro list haha.

That is a good question. You might have a bunch launch out with the cardboard discs rather than light, but I don't know for sure.

Great demo, they were all good but if I have to pick one it would be the last one.

@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics I do have a question, could there have been cross fire within the second cake not caused by an outside source?

Of those three, Amazing Ballet has always been a solid choice. But American Pyro by Magnus is the best zipper cake I've ever come across.
I'll keep an eye out for that one!

Great video! Damn. I remember shooting Amazing Ballet 20 years ago. Remember paying $69 each too! 😑
That is impressive! Both price and duration. My first memory of shooting it was 13 years ago and was probably about that price too.
How much are they now?
@@davidhess6899 I saw them recently wholesale for $80-90. I used to see them retail for cheaper than that but last I saw one retail is was $150 ish
