- When a new mall opens up in Riverdale, the town's teens couldn't be happier. The seemingly kind owner has given them each a card entitling them to buy whatever their hearts desire on credit but there is a price to pay for their purchases.
Jughead makes a great point over one burger. He followed his heart & instincts than greed. Way to go man.

Jughead was amazing in this show and he is also still my favorite but in my opinion he shines brighter in riverdale
3:33 - 3:49 Archie's broke, Betty barely made any money with her babysitting job, Reggie probably had his allowance taken from him by his parents, Veronica had all her credit cards taken by her dad, and even Jughead doesn't have any money.
They're really down in the dumps knowing they can't buy anything they want without cash or credit cards.

And a mall manager who wanted more and more. He sold his soul to get much more and now pays the price by capturing other souls by using flashy stuff.
Gianni Averichi a clever play on words for Johnny Average meaning the average everyday person. kinda showing how the average person gets taken in my money and buying things just for the sake of buying them. very clever episode.
Merthurmad i think avarici is for "averice", meaning greed. Still clever nonetheless

I love DIC cartoons, always will, always have.

This show was around for 5-6 months. Sept 99 -Feb 2000. Man the writers could ve continued this show , but i guess all good things come to an end.

oh i just noticed that the demon dude name is avarity(something like that). hahaha latin for greed or avarice.
They only rescued like 6 or 7 people, yet their entire school was empty and all the other stores were going out of business for lack of customers. To me, that implies that most of the town was trapped in the mall. So then, why did so few people come out before it collapsed? Did the animators just not want to draw that many people?

I ❤ mysteries that take place in malls. They can be truly scary places. Especially if there's a sale, or around Christmas time when people are shopping at the last minute. Or during a zombie apocalypse.

Seriously, Archie...what do you see in Veronica Lodge? She's spoiled, self-absorbed, and even a bit egotistical. At least, Betty is smart, sweet, kind, and loving. Even Jughead secretly likes her. Jughead! You have a bad taste in women sometimes, man.

I also would choose Betty. Not only is she nice and kind but she's an animal lover. I can see us watching nature shows all day long.

if there was a mall like this, i would love to check it out. the mall that is in the town beside me is awesome. but seeing this mall, it makes it cooler then the mall here close to the town i live in. i would like a mall like that. sure it can be a little haunted but not like that haunted
