I like Broussard’s list, but I’d add Jerry West. Curry didn’t invent the scoring point guard, Jerry West was a scoring champ who averaged 27 points over the course of his career. He wasn’t even in the same realm a marksman from range, but he was a scoring point guard who won a title and holds the distinction of being the only finals MVP to have not won the finals. He did so averaging nearly 38 points in a 7 game series against Bill Russell. He was legit, they called him Mr Clutch. Chris Paul for me is best of the era outside of Curry, but I’d take Broussard’s list and add Jerry.
