How to fix VOLVO V50 OBD Error P2008 P1246 | Intake Manifold Solenoid Problem

In this videos I will explain on how to fix the P 2008 OBD error and P1246 error code on your Volvo V50 or S40 car. If you have low power or low acceleration on your car then you need to follow. The part that you need to change is called Intake Manifold Solenoid. The used one is not that expensive and it is really easy to change.
You need Torx T25 bit. Be careful and dont drop the screws in the engine bay. Although the pipes are sized in a way that you cannot connect them in a wrong order but please take picture or mark them before you remove them so that you reconnect them correctly.

You described exactly the problem I was having unfortunately it only happened occasionally but when I read the codes there is a p2008 in there. The car has never shown the engine management light, so thanks for posting this I believe you have diagnosed the problem.

I had the very same problem; the engine would accelerate OK on cold; once warmed up and after a restart, the acceleration was rather sluggish. Replacing this fixed it. Thanks,

Check on bildelsbasen.se. call whoever has it and then ask them to check if it fits your car. I think they should be able to deliver it to Norway
