Tbh I wouldn't expect anyone who's either never played LoR or not familiar with the freljord lore to think it's anyone other than Voli because the ursin are never really explored in the game (yet? Maybe we'll get something with reworked udyr?)
The animation in this cinematic is absolutely NEXT LEVEL, the way the musles and the ligamends of Atreus' hand stretch due to the effort he is making to climb up is unreal and enough has been said about his face but damn man, the attention to detail in this video... He is shown larger than the others. The perspective in the scenes just creates a weird optical illusion here and screws everything up. This is one of the very, very few criticisms I have for this cinematic.
I think Pantheon's drive and definitely appearance are so well done for a Spartan themed character. I really see a lot of Leonidas in his character. Team Pantheon all the way

I have a theory for the Pantheon part of the cinematic, and while it is a very big reach, I want to voice it just in case. I think the gate was opened quite a bit before Pantheon made the climb, likely because someone successfully made the climb and was chosen by a new Aspect, and he was waiting for it. But Leona and some of the Solari are guarding the gate precisely out of worry for Pantheon coming for it, hence the fight. Connecting to this, I think the meteors were made by this new Aspect, which is why it only attacked Pantheon and why he leapt towards the sky, where those meteors came from, to fight whatever is up there. The reason I think it is NOT Asol is because Asol wants to see Targon just as dead as Pantheon does, so they would probably actually become allies (After a short fight born from mutually misunderstanding each others as the enemy because appearances)
Unpopulair opinion: I rooted for Leona because she is my 2nd most played champ. Nice detail, Pantheon fought the guards with only his shield, only started to use his weapon against Leona. I love Sejuani's look and the fact that Bristle has braids that Seju uses as reigns x3.
I am just glad they finally portray Leona as a more neutral/slightly villainous individual. It is more accurate, especially from Atreus' perspective. She is an aspect who ignores those in needs for what in her mind is, a greater purpose.
The visuals and the animation were both absolutely stunning. Story and music vise, it's not as strong as Warriors and Awaken (it just couldn't get me as invested as those 2), but the action simply looked incredible. It was a spectacular cinematic that was 100% worth the wait. Especially with these reactions :D
What if the gate wasn't opened for Pantheon. What if it was opened for Leona, but Pantheon followed her to try to get through the gate instead? It would explain why Leona was already up there and was trying to fight of Pantheon. Just a thought.
I like the detail that Atreus/Pantheon willingly buries his spear when fighting against his fellow Rakkor and opts to fight them solely with his shield. He has no intention of genuinely fighting his fellow man with a tool meant for killing. He only takes it back up when Leona, the person who he considers a zealot, challenges him
Pantheons face after he fell was the highlight, especially after reading his short story In Battle, Broken. The giga chad had no more god juice to run on with that Leona fight, and the frustration and tire on his face was tangible after he got so close, but ended up right where everyone else fell, most likely Pilas included. Atreus hadnt been there since it happened, so the pain of being there on top of his current struggles after his ruination kinda just fucks with my man. And then he gets up and decides it would be poggers to ult on A Sol.

This makes me wish I was into MOBAs, the story seem so exciting for people and stuff like this seems like such a treat. It's the same with Star Wars and how much awesome content the fans get for the franchise. Also if I was into MOBAs it seem like I wouldn't need any other source of entertainment (mainly games), they stay fed and satisfied.
The story isn't that interesting or relevant for most people (Dinka being an exception as she's the ultimate lore nerd), Lol lore was fairly straightforward/secondary, and has been written and rewritten to the point where it's kind of all over the place now and most people don't even know about it. What's exciting though for MOBA players is that whenever they see a champion, they can connect with him because they've seen him struggle, win or lose, they've either played him all the time and faced all odds mastering him, or been against him all the time and come to respect his strength as an opponent. Seeing these champions fight in these videos feels just right, because any lol player knows the struggle, there's weight behind each character not necessarily because they have backstories, but because they've proven themselves on the field

That was a lot more similar to Zoes Q, Aurelion's ult is a flamethrower, not a comet. Either that or he just threw one of his Ws stars but that definitely wasn't his ult. Also Aurelion has cooked a Pantheon aspect alive before with a teeny tiny release of his power, unintentionally may I add, I doubt Atreus is actually targeting him, unless he has severe delusion issues and a death wish

When you talk about the portal part, I remember little of the pantheon lore, but doesn't the Atreus lose the power of the aspect of war? What I was able to interpret from this video is that Atreus is on top of the targon, as a human, so much so that he is climbing the mount with his own hands. It is knocked down and after his ascended up again as Patheon. But I was actually a little confused about it.
Orn is in top so he can’t help team fights, Sejuanis messing around in jungle against top voli, mid Taliyah and adc kai’sa is ganking jungle rek’sai, and pantheon support and leona support are 1v1ing in bottom but gets ganked by mid aurelion sol 😂😂😂😂😂
When they Changed Pantheon to Atreus.... I feel like he became the best character: Just out of Sheer Will and might, he, a Fallen god, Gained his OWN GOD HOOD. YET, he Challenges ALL, Gods and Darken Alike. All For Mankind. Truly, Humanity at it's finest.
One small correction, Noxus and Demacia (and the other regions who know of The Kindred) know and worship both Lamb and Wolf, it's just one is deemed more honorable to die to. Sorta like how the Romans still knew and worshipped Poseidon, despite not viewing him favorably. Noxus think an honorable death is by Wolf, and that if you take Lamb, it's cowardly/doesn't show you fought all the way... whereas Demacia thinks it's nobler to go by Lamb's arrow, and that falling to Wolf means the person was not graceful or at peace.
I'm unsure if we have Lore on Items, and I'm unsure if this is true, but I paused the video near the end, when Ornn finished the sword. The Hilt/Cross Guard looks VERY similar to Infinity Edge. As I don't know much Lore behind the sword, I can't say for certain. Just figured I'd put that out there.

This makes me wish I was into MOBAs, the story seem so exciting for people and stuff like this seems like such a treat. It's the same with Star Wars and how much awesome content the fans get for the franchise. Also if I was into MOBAs it seem like I wouldn't need any other source of entertainment (mainly games), they stay fed and satisfied.
The story isn't that interesting or relevant for most people (Dinka being an exception as she's the ultimate lore nerd), Lol lore was fairly straightforward/secondary, and has been written and rewritten to the point where it's kind of all over the place now and most people don't even know about it.
What's exciting though for MOBA players is that whenever they see a champion, they can connect with him because they've seen him struggle, win or lose, they've either played him all the time and faced all odds mastering him, or been against him all the time and come to respect his strength as an opponent. Seeing these champions fight in these videos feels just right, because any lol player knows the struggle, there's weight behind each character not necessarily because they have backstories, but because they've proven themselves on the field

It seems like a game focused on utilizing their world's lore might be coming. I'll keep my eye on that as well.
@@tobydion3009 Yeah, Riot branches out a lot with games, an MMO is coming and there's already several others. You might want to check out Ruined King, it's made by the people who did battlechasers so it might be more story-driven than runeterra and lol

That was a lot more similar to Zoes Q, Aurelion's ult is a flamethrower, not a comet.
Either that or he just threw one of his Ws stars but that definitely wasn't his ult. Also Aurelion has cooked a Pantheon aspect alive before with a teeny tiny release of his power, unintentionally may I add, I doubt Atreus is actually targeting him, unless he has severe delusion issues and a death wish

When you talk about the portal part, I remember little of the pantheon lore, but doesn't the Atreus lose the power of the aspect of war? What I was able to interpret from this video is that Atreus is on top of the targon, as a human, so much so that he is climbing the mount with his own hands. It is knocked down and after his ascended up again as Patheon. But I was actually a little confused about it.

When they Changed Pantheon to Atreus.... I feel like he became the best character: Just out of Sheer Will and might, he, a Fallen god, Gained his OWN GOD HOOD. YET, he Challenges ALL, Gods and Darken Alike. All For Mankind. Truly, Humanity at it's finest.
One small correction, Noxus and Demacia (and the other regions who know of The Kindred) know and worship both Lamb and Wolf, it's just one is deemed more honorable to die to. Sorta like how the Romans still knew and worshipped Poseidon, despite not viewing him favorably. Noxus think an honorable death is by Wolf, and that if you take Lamb, it's cowardly/doesn't show you fought all the way... whereas Demacia thinks it's nobler to go by Lamb's arrow, and that falling to Wolf means the person was not graceful or at peace.
I'm unsure if we have Lore on Items, and I'm unsure if this is true, but I paused the video near the end, when Ornn finished the sword.
The Hilt/Cross Guard looks VERY similar to Infinity Edge. As I don't know much Lore behind the sword, I can't say for certain.
Just figured I'd put that out there.
