Another great video! Just an FYI, if you press the meter it does toggle to the different meters but if you press and hold it, it will show all meters without going to the quick menu. Keep up the good work!
Hi Erik, I've been watching your videos for a couple months. Just got my General license a week and a half ago. I enjoy my Yaesu Ft-65R, however, you've totally convinced me to go Icom 7300 for shack and 7100 for mobile and shack. Great videos keep up the great work.
The 7100 manual says to put the power at 30% and the mode on RTTY when checking SWR. I’m not correcting you, I am very new at this, I’m wondering if there’s a reason why you didn’t do it that way. Is the SWR reliable if you leave it on SSV.?
Hello Erick: I have the same combination you have with the Icom IC-7300 and the 7100. Can you make a video using the radio in HF D-start mode and just regular HF SSB mode with the same station? Thank you and 73's from W4LCM
Have you had any issues where the SWR meter on the 7100 does not agree with an antenna analyzer? My analyzer says the SWR is 1.4 but it's over 3:1 on the 7100. Thoughts?
I likewise have a IC-7100. However, when I attempt this very thing, as soon as I push the PTT, the radio reboots. Anyone have an idea as to why? K4EY ~ 73 ~Thanks!
I have a question about ALC on this radio. When using ft8 My ALC is showing max. how do I get that down? I’ve been told to turn it off but I don’t think that’s possible on the 7100.
Thank you! I just got a 7100 as my first modern HF radio. This is an awesome feature to know about!

Thanks Erik,I've had my 7100 a couple of years and you just showed me a feature that I hadn't got around to.
aaaàà
Great explanation. I have this radio and had no idea it had this feature. I appreciate your coverage of this radio.
That's a great feature of that radio. Thanks for making and publishing this video!
Had a 7100 for 2 years and didn't know how to use this capability. Thanks!

Great video as always. Have a 7300 and a 7100, still learning them and your videos are a definite help.
Wow you just opened up my world to this radio.
Thx Eric, picked up a 7100 a few days ago, yr video was a great help, and clear 73s
Very nice video. Been wondering if I wanted to take the plunge on this unit or not. Looking forward to more videos about it and its functions.
Thanks for the video - it is great. Please keep the 7100 videos coming.

Great video. Thank you! When you press the screen and hold it will switch to multimeter. You do not have to go to the menu to change it.
I have both radios myself but haven't played around much.. good information thanks
Great video, Thanks. Please keep the 7100 videos coming!
Another great video! Mr. Wisey Eye does it again!
Appreciate the 7100 coverage. Was not aware of this feature. 73 Don KM6TRZ
Thank you. I am going to purchase a Icom 7100, this helped me making that decision. W4JCH
Thanks for all the videos!!!
Just bought this radio and a separate SWR meter but it looks like I don't really need it. Guess I can compare the two and see if they agree....
When is Icom going to come out with a new HF mobile? Anyone know? Thanks
Why don't I see any videos on the icom 7600? I would like to explore the hidden features on the 7600...73, thanks Steve KD1DT
👍 Perfect demonstration!

That's all fine and dandy, but what kind of readings do you get when your hooked up to an Auto-tuner?????
What about using an UNUN and 1/2 a mile of long line antenna that should work.
Have you had any issues where the SWR meter on the 7100 does not agree with an antenna analyzer? My analyzer says the SWR is 1.4 but it's over 3:1 on the 7100. Thoughts?
This radio have a built-in tuner
When checking the SWR via the graph, is the radio transmitting on the airwaves each time you key in?
Tnx for Nice video. A strongest help. 73 de PY3KN, 7100 user
Touch the meter display for 1 second and it will switch to the multi meter graph
Does this SWR graph work for VHF/UHF or does it only work on HF frequencies?

I saw a test video that indicated the 7100 does not actually put out 100 watts. Can you verify?
Early units had a problem with power output on SSB. They have fixed it in recent years.
Please tell me the 7300 can do this too.
Ah, just got to the part that says 7300 has it too. Awesome.
This is a total sleeper feature.
👍
You speak too fast
