This game keeps looking better and better every time we get to see more of it. Surprised they only showed a clip of it in this sizzle reel for the direct, but yeah, I am looking forward to seeing how this title comes together, and hope the team really hits this one out of the park in the same way Prince of Persia did. I saw the trailer for this and prince of Persia on the same day a few months ago, they looked fairly similar
An action platforms by design that has already been referred to by so many YT videos and gamers as an “upcoming vania” they will always dub it as such even though it may not be haha
Yeah we will have to wait till the full release, I do see Map in the pause menu so maybe we will be going back and forth to early areas but whats in the demo is linear and it seems to be advancing through them. There doesn't seem to be enough branching paths or out of reach areas to suggest you would need to

I'd get it even just for the visuals❤
I hope for the developers sake this is not “linear” because these kinds of games live and die on how fun it is to figure things out and not feel like you are just running on a path
They've said Metroidvania inspired which could mean a number of things, it seems so far, linear levels with some branching pathways that will require a skill to get out of or you'll need to find a key. I'm not seeing any out of reach areas however or doorways I can't access this far which leads me to believe, there wouldn't be a reason to come back, I could be completely wrong however as theres a map system that's unavailable, and theres signposts directing to locations which means, things just may not have appeared yet.

Ah looks cool. I've been playing a lot of wiiu and switch games on my steam deck since I got it last month. hopefully it'll play well on release on steam deck I'd love to try it out. but usually the platformers emulate well.

Honestly, not sure who that is but just did a quick google search for the website and they've worked on a ton of things it seems, Alan Wake 2, God of War Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, Sable, Suicide Squad, and then it seems they work with pretty much all the game studios. I am seeing reports about the studio or whatever they do having issues right now, but I'm out and about so can't stop to actually look into too much, will look later
@@SwitchCornerIn every case, they're an activist group who openly have said they want to destroy games as we know them because it appeals way too much to 'cishet white males.' They want games to start pandering to minorities instead of the majority that actually *play the games.* In other words, they want to take away developer's freedom of expression and art and only follow the politics they see acceptable. Not much different from USSR if you ask me.

Ugh, no. I played the demo on Steamdeck. This game is amateur hour. HORRID level design. Absolutely horrid. And the enemy variety? Bleh. And the nonsensical story dialog that CONSTANTLY interrupts your play session with these encyclopedic back and forths that are so dull and boring I dang near quit playing just because of that. This is a game with a beautiful veneer and some decent mechanics, but beyond that everything is not just average, but notably sub-par. I cancelled my Switch preorder immediately after that demo.
Uh, interesting. This game looks really good judging by the trailers but I guess that can be deceiving……well just download the demo and try for myself I guess. Thanks for the potential warning though.
@@zinoelgato Ya it looked incredible! Hence why I rushed to play the demo. I was NOT impressed to say the least. But try it out. Maybe you'll like it more than I do
