- What if the next stroke could change everything? Or lose it all? Every artist faces moments of doubt. Taking risks in art can feel daunting, but what if it's the key to growth?
Those darker bold markls you added at the end really brought a lot of contrast to the paintings. Lovely!
It's surprising how little it takes to make a difference. Thanks for watching.
I love a glaze over a good abstract.
Thanks for mentioning glazing. I have oodles of medium but never liked the look of a glaze on paper, or rather never liked paper with a glaze on it. With acrylic, it's all plastic, but I use lots of water and the surface often looks more like a watercolor because paper is so absorbent. I might try it again to see if I change my mind.
Wendy have you always painted abstract or is this a new venture for you?
Thanks for commenting. It's not new, I started my career in college as an abstract painter. Later I switched to figurative/narrative work and most recently, after decades of painting, I'm back where I started. My first love was abstraction.
