    Leave it as a mystery, not worth the efforts when all aboard signed waivers knowing full well it could be a one way trip. RIP Titan crew.

      So anyone who dies in surgery, the situation shouldn't be investigated? People sign multiple documents prior to all surgeries saying that death is possible.

    Im no scientist, buuut -
    A) that porthole was reportedly only rated for a probable 1300m (4265ft), and the entire trip was supposed to be approximately 4000m (almost 13,000 ft), so the porthole was magically supposed to withstand almost 3x the pressure, while keeping the planned descent speed? Im betting that window shattered, the whole thing flooded, then started to sink like a boulder and imploded from outside pressure being too much.
    if i open pop can, and dump out all the pop, then run the can under a running faucet full bore, and squeeze, i am able to crush it instantly. They were in a pop can, because someone wanted to be "innovative".
    B) Carbon Fiber? sheesh. There is a time and place for such a use, but this was not it. Composites can have weaker makeups, due to irregularities in the "mix".
    if i mix yellow and green to get blue, no matter how well i mix, i am most likely not going to reach the truest pigment possible, compared to using pure blue pigment. (composite metal = what is the truest strength, vs using a purer component like Titanium
    C) Did no one realize what they were doing during test dives? Material wear/ fatigue is a thing. SOOOO, ultimately, when they did alllll these dives, and issues kept popping up here and there, no one thought that HEY! if this is gaining noticeable fatigue sooner than we anticipated, maybe this vessle can't withstand something deeper like we hoped, lets re look at the entire situation before putting MORE LIVES IN DANGER. I think they just used the "cookie cutter" idea from the previous two models that went to shallower depths, and said "OH it works THERE, it HAS to work HERE" duh.
    I hope this opens the conversation for exploration in international water, there has to be some sort of GENERAL CARE for the wellbeing of PEOPLE regardless of where they are in the world. We went to bat for all the regulations and protections over COVID, yet if its in international water no one wants to keep things safe by saying "Hey you dont have the documentation proving that this vessel is rated as safe" so it can't have passengers.

    How will you find out what happened when everything is in tiny bits and pieces!!!!! Through a microscope?????

      The same way they do it for an airplane crash. It is possible. The bigger question is, "Is it worth it?"
