My brother is right on this, and you have it backwards, just like I used to: when you use the word jealousy, what you really mean is envy and enviousness.
Jealousy is a guarding, where you guard with all your might something that you love, such as your wife. You want no one else to have her. G-d wants no one else to take us from Him; thus He is jealous for us. He has no reason to envy us for the entire universe is His.
Envy happens when we think we can take somebody on and do better.

Toda raba dear Rabbi for another shiur we can and must apply min our lives....there are so much challenges over a life time,we are surrounded all the time with people who are constantly challages our patients, family members who are far away from the wright path, but now I understand that they are not the problem,I have to do tchuva,I have to find where the problem is,and find the way to fix it...and most of all, never give up on someone, only because he did something wrong to me or doesn't do what he should....there always is hope that something will change in better be ezrat HASHEM!!!!May HASHEM bless and protect you and all your family!!!!!✡️💖✡️💖✡️💖✡️💖

how do you differ the jealousy versus being compassionate for others in order to understand others you must place yourself in their place, not that you want to own their position but rather to bring about good change in to the benefit if... other's..
