If you read a little about the Rain Queen (Modjadji), it is the rainmaker. It's an existing tribe that prays for rain. Quite interesting! Thanks for sharing. Love from South Africa. Their latest song is my personal favorite "Blou". It's a very love song in SA. ❤
Stellenbosch is a town in the western cape of South Africa, it was named after the then governor of the cape Simon van der Stel. He arrived in the cape on 12 October 1679, the name literally mean van der stel's bush.
They also did a performance of "Cent Mille Chansons" as a suggestion as something closer to home for you. "Weeping" another repeat listen. Wel wense 🙏🏾🇿🇦
As I said in my request message, Stellenbosch is a whole new rabbit hole to jump into. Their catalog is wide-ranging, to say the least. One of my favorites is their version of the iconic "Baba Yetu". Since I prefer this particular performance, I'll give the link : ruclips.net/video/PCa8RxaOPW8/видео.html They also do beautiful renditions of "Some Nights" and "Never Enough", just to name 2.
I had never come across them. Loved it! I have seen that Baba Yetu, while i was scrolling. And can never get enough of "Never Enough" 😃 Thanks again for this request, Charlotte! Have a wonderful day.
This choir has won many an international choir competition. They are the pride of SA ❤
