      Your going to have so much fun once it starts moving my friend.. Check out x-simulator.net. They are fantastic at answering questions and all that. I have a build channel there too.. Here is the link.. www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/full-frame-2-dof-traction-loss-new-build.14740/
      Plus the moderator (noorbeast) is really cool and can answer questions too.. Plus just ask your questions here if you have any.. I will attempt to answer them. DMAX

    My father always told me that with enough leverage, you can move anything. I think it'll work just fine. Also, it doesn't take much movement to trick the brain. Good work!

    I cracked up at that Jack-O-Lantern lurking ominously in the background around 2:20 😂 And “advice from an old guy” LOL. Great content as always! Can’t wait to see how it works 👍

    As always I feel I have learned even more about your project and how to for myself in the future build something like this. Your advice is also helpful and I feel it really showcase your joy to share your project with the world! Stay awesome 😀

      Cool! Glad i could show you an average guy can do it.. I would still recommend the crab pot motors.. they seem to be available right now. they are 12 volt and are awesome in my 3dof rig.. they are 50;1 well worth the money. I just bought a couple more and planning on trying out a Dell server power supply in a future video to power them.

    Great video series! One minor suggestion on the videos in general is that the background music is a bit distracting (too loud compared to your voice). You could just eliminate and only use it for portions in which the video is running faster, etc. Thanks!

    • @DMAX_DIY
      @DMAX_DIY  3 года назад +2

      Yeah.. I made the video a while ago.. And a few people said the same thing so I 'shut down the music' for the rest of the series.. Hope you watch em all. If you have any questions, I may be able to answe rthem Just let me know hereright on this page and I'll see if I can help! DMAX

      @@DMAX_DIY Thanks. I definitely will watch. The other quirk of me is that I like to watch at 1.5x speed to absorb information faster, etc. Sometimes that makes music seem worse. Continue the great work!

      @@2gnospam Well you never know.. I'm just some guy with a lot of info on building stuff.. I'm pretty new to all this so bare with me if I make a few mistakes.. I appreciate the comments cause I would not know unless somebody said something.. Keep at it! DMAX

    What specs for motor's should you be looking for to get enough speed and or power to actually kick you out of the seat?

    • @DMAX_DIY
      @DMAX_DIY  3 года назад +2

      Well, the WW motors are kind of a mystery.. They are not a quick as my crab pot 50:1 motors nor are they as strong. Take a look at the motion dynamics 60:1 motors from Australia. Those would be be the Pinnacle of speed and power. They would kick you out of the seat as your requested.

      @@DMAX_DIY ah okay, thanks! I will have a look at that after i try and build a rig with the ww motors. Your videos are very helpfull and make me understand this rocket science :) keep it up!

      @@ericmelchers750 Cool Eric! The motors are really the key to it all.. The rest is just mechanics and stuff. Big motors are Better! DMAX

    Hello, newer sub here. Been binge watching all your videos. I built an 80/20 sim rig a few years ago. Looking to build another one. Would these motors work? Makermotor 3/8" D Shaft 12V DC Reversible Electric Gear Motor 50 RPM. They are on amazon. Or should i wait til the ones on ebay become available? Merry Christmas.

    • @DMAX_DIY
      @DMAX_DIY  2 года назад

      Hi and welcome.. I'm not sure cause I've not tested them but I was planning on ordering some of the markermotors for testing.. I just got in a new crab pot 12v 50:1 to set the benchmark.. I have those on my 3dof rig.. so I can see what amps it stalls out at and start compiling some type of chart info for you guys.. All I can say is keep trying.. most motors work ok.. some are better than others.. D

    diy motion sim rig isn't stress full at all - Dave 25 years old. just kidding i learn a lot from your video im bout to make one soon but one quick question does all kind of motor is like the wiper motor? like the one that moves back and fort

  • @Fredstli
    @Fredstli 3 года назад +1

    Will the wipermotors do better if you build a rig where the pivot point is closer to center of gravity? like in this video ruclips.net/video/_ukltGtmsP8/видео.html

    • @DMAX_DIY
      @DMAX_DIY  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for the Link Fred! I'll check it out. I did find the CG for the seat and it's balanced.. My vid here ruclips.net/video/aBZ8ZQNNQUU/видео.html so I think it's more that the WW motors are not strong enough with my weight in it. I had to move them back about 12 inches for more mechanical advantage. DMAX

      @@Fredstli I would just buy the hall effect pots. They are like $23 each.. But very reliable and one less thing to think about. I originally used 10k wire wound ones but when I heard that a lot of guys found unexpected interference, I just bought the Hall effect ones.. They do have a 'sweet spot' but I have not had any issues whatsoever with them.. Dave
