I got on RUclips to find a great design for a table saw cabinet yours was the first one that came up and it’s perfect. Well worth a sub so thanks for posting
Thank you! Bought the plans, built the cabinet with my son. Came out perfect ! First time using edge banding. Didn’t have the trimmer so I used a flush trim bit on my trim router Fits with room to add a 2 1/2 tray on top under my Grizzly table saw.
Beautiful simple solution. Totally want to see your cross cut sled. I still mind blowing with your portable miter saw station with that awesome Milwaukee saw.
I like the storage idea. I wanna make something similar when my new saw shows up. Gonna try something similar with my out feed table. Big space saver ideas. Love it
The nice design that takes advantage of the otherwise wasted space. I have the 52” extension so I might modify it slightly but will definitely use your plans.
Nice build! I just purchased the plans. I have the same SawStop. Now I have the right space to store my crosscut sled, etc. I’ve also purchased other plans from you, they’re easy to follow, and accurate! Thanks for all your hard work!!!
Nice build and video. Bought the plans. It doesnt appear to factor in the mobile base, though you do have it in the video. It seems you definitely have to move the legs out further than the last factory position on the Sawstop to fit it with the mobile base.
Great videos! I’m going to be building out my first real wood shop later this year (so exciting!) and have been binge watching a ton of videos on shop storage/benches/tables etc. Your builds are some of the best I’ve seen, looking forward to giving them go.
Great video. I just recently upgraded to my first Harvey Cabinet Saw, so I'm working on plans for under-table storage like this and I also need to build a crosscut sled. So yes, a video for that would be great. Thanks!
Another great video John and a very nice cabinet. I give you the thumbs up on a crosscut sled video. Hope you and your family had a blessed Thanksgiving
Another nice build John! 👍🏻 Can’t wait to see what you come up with on a new sled! I have one but been thinking about making a new! 😊 Thank you for sharing!
Hi John , love your build videos very informative. Clean work and straight to the point. I recently purchased couple of your plans. Soon as I have some extra time I’ll start working on them. Thanks and yes I would like to see you build a new cross cut sled!
I love your work man, you're a big inspiration for me. I have a nice 600sqft shop that is a total mess and I look to your projects for all kinds of ideas on storage and efficiency. Keep it up brother.
I wish i had your plans a year ago when I built mine for two reasons. I thought I needed two slide outs so while my cabinet looks great it is slightly too big for my Sawstop. And I dont use the 2nd one. Lastly, l ended up storing my sled in the same place where yours is, but I ended uo just building a short mdf box and setting it on the floor. Your plans look way neater and fit perfectly.
Great work as usual, John. I have the same saw and built a (very), similar cabinet a few years ago loosely based on Brad's design from Fix This Build That. I did remove the front leg but didn't lose stability in the least. I made an adjustable support piece that fits between the top of the cabinet and the underside of the table extension. It's just a block fitted with a threaded insert combined with a leveling foot but it works great. I don't miss the leg in the least. I used recycled oak plywood given to me by a co-worker (previously built-in cabs), with a gross dark stain so yours certainly looks better but hey ... free! :) Really appreciate what you do.
Another great build, John. I've been over thinking trying to build something and this is a perfect solution and hopefully will get me out of the pralysis by analysis spot i'm stuck in. Thanks for this. Hope you and your family has a great Thanksgiving!
WOW John... You made that look real simple and exactly what I need. I have Laguna Fusion 3 but I'm sure the table saw dust exhaust comes out that side. Thanks away John. and yeah I'd be up for watching a new crosscut sled. I'm all new to this so simple is good! So far I've made approx £300 kindling 🔥
This is freaking awesome John! I have an older Delta Unisaw with a 52” right side support table that all sits on a mobile base, so I don’t have the ability to utilize this design, but I am inspired to build a drawer box that would fit within that space. I absolutely love all your shop builds as they are super clean and efficient. Thank you for the inspiration and keep it up. Oh and for sure, if you decide to make a new sled, that would be a great video as well I am sure.
John, your Mitre Gauge seems real close to your Sawstop Blade, do you cut a lot with the Sawstop Sensor Turned off? Nice vid, I’m liking the look of your shop. Steve
Hi John, I have the same saw as yours, can you give me details how you relocated the support legs to make room for the cabinet? I purchased your plan recently, thanks......
John. I just purchased your plans for the saw stop under the wing cabinet. You briefly mention moving the support legs over 6 or 7 inches. Did you drill new holes in the metal where it is attached originally or just in the wood of the top frame?
Great video John. I bought the plans and have the same saw. My one question is how you moved the extension wing legs? Did you pull the front rail off and re-drill the holes for the bracket? Thanks
I used the ball end hex that came with the saw to loosen that bolt without needing to remove the rail. To reattach all I’ve done so far is just screw it into the wood top from the inside
How did you move the table saw legs? Looks like you’d have two drill new holes in the steel and maybe even countersink them for really huge pan head hex bolts?
Could you tell us what tool you were using to trim the WIDTH of the edge banding? I think you forgot to list that. I've never seen one but it looks way quicker than a flush bit.
Great vid and considering buying the plans. Question...do you have any discomfort using the saw in just the industrial base? It's much lower than my Ridgid (just got the 36" sawstop). So if I'm able to raise my sawstop by 1.5" between the base and bottom of the saw...A) think that's a secure idea? And B) will that change the plans for me specifically?
If I build this then where am I supposed to kick my vacuum, extra hoses, extension cords, cardboard boxes and what ever other crap that was in my way and I kicked under there. This is on my project want to do list with the boom arm for my dust hose and a French cleat wall. Someday I’ll get to it.
I vote yes to a cross-cut sled build video.
Nice build, I'd love to see your take on the crosscut sled.
Great work! Yes to the crosscut sled video.
Ok probably coming up soon!
Do a cross cut sled, any shop builds especially useful jigs to storage and cabinets, organization…. More pls! Happy to be here watching always
Will do, thanks!!

Great video. Yes I would like to see a cross cut sled build.
Nice. Pretty simple but very good looking! And yes, id love to see a cross cut sled video!
Nice job, good use of the space. I used that space under my saw to put my surface planer.
You had me at the blade storage.... and sold me on the cross cut sled storage. Great build video. Glad I stumbled on your channel!
Thank you!!
Killer vid. Such a clean process from initial cuts to carcass assembly to drawers. Yes for the cross cut sled!
I appreciate it!
Numbers do matter! Awesome job!
Thank you!
This is great! I really like the simplicity and clean look. Thanks, John.
Thanks for watching!!
Very nice work. As the old saying goes he knows how to hold a hammer 🔨
Thanks I really enjoyed the video.
Yes on new crosscut sled. Great video Jon
Thank you!
That's an awesome storage cabinet for your table saw. Thank you for sharing the build with us.
Great video! I would def cut the music out though. Love hearing just natural woodworking sounds
Shop is right next to a busy highway unfortunately. No music would then just be road noise
@@JohnBuildsIt oh that sucks! Anyway I subbed! Keep uploading!
Nice build!

Thank you!!

Right 👍🏽 I said in the video I moved the legs out further
Great video...might build one myself...though I think I will switch the side the blade storage and sled holder are on. Well done!
Good build man! I especially like the blade spacers
Nice and clean, John. I like it!
Yes for the cross cut sled
Great build! I really enjoy seeing how you organize all the individual tools in your shop.
Thank you!!

Yep the block in between the cabinet and saw is must have and great solution too! 👍🏽

Great job, appreciate your contact, thank you and keep it coming.

Nice
Excelent Vídeo
Looks great brotha! What miter guage is that for your table saw
It’s the JessEm
Great use of space!
👌🏽👌🏽
Great video. I like the lack of annoying animations and crappy music. Definately enjoy the music you're listening to. Who you listening to lately?
I’m pretty much just always listening to podcasts while working
John, your Mitre Gauge seems real close to your Sawstop Blade, do you cut a lot with the Sawstop Sensor Turned off? Nice vid, I’m liking the look of your shop. Steve
No I don’t turn it off. Probably just the camera angle 👍🏽 it’s not that close
Hi John, I have the same saw as yours, can you give me details how you relocated the support legs to make room for the cabinet? I purchased your plan recently, thanks......
Just unbolted and moved them all the way to the right. To reattach I just screwed them into the wood frame of the wing
John. I just purchased your plans for the saw stop under the wing cabinet. You briefly mention moving the support legs over 6 or 7 inches. Did you drill new holes in the metal where it is attached originally or just in the wood of the top frame?
I just reattached it to the wood
Yes. Video on crosscut sled
Great. Thanks for the info.
How did you move the table saw legs? Looks like you’d have two drill new holes in the steel and maybe even countersink them for really huge pan head hex bolts?
The same way it’s attached in the factory spot
@@JohnBuildsIt Maybe your wing has some holes mine is missing…
@@jcarlin no sorry I drilled a new hole on the front! Really don’t have to though. Just fastening it into the wood on the wing would be plenty
@@JohnBuildsIt Did you remove the fence rail to drill the new holes?
@@jcarlin no just went down in the space between the square tube and the angle iron
How did you get the legs of your Sawstop moved out that far? I don’t have any more mounting holes to be able to move as far over as your did.
To reattach I just screwed it into the wood wing on the inside
Could you tell us what tool you were using to trim the WIDTH of the edge banding? I think you forgot to list that. I've never seen one but it looks way quicker than a flush bit.
Called the Band-it edge trimmer. Couldn’t find it on Amazon. I got it at Menards
@@JohnBuildsIt Appreciate your time!
What brand/model is the fence and accessories on your table saw?
That’s the stock fence that comes with the saw. All the other accessories are linked in the video description 👍🏽
Yes on the sled. Maybe not fast forward so much
Great vid and considering buying the plans.
I’ve grown to like the height, comfortable to use! I have seen guys raise theirs like you’re saying though, shouldn’t be a problem 👍🏽
❤
Show the new cross-slide build.
I’ll plan on it 👍🏽
why is the bottom of the drawer slimer? 🤔
Any thicker is unnecessary and using up more of the drawer space
If I build this then where am I supposed to kick my vacuum, extra hoses, extension cords, cardboard boxes and what ever other crap that was in my way and I kicked under there. This is on my project want to do list with the boom arm for my dust hose and a French cleat wall. Someday I’ll get to it.
😂😂I hear that
sad thing is it is cheaper to get packout boxes than buy the wood and slides (
Haha probably!
