As a serving soldier, the only "threat" we could defeat with brigades this size are small groups of insurgencies. It's actually scary how few troops and equipment we have left

my old bttn and did you notice only 4 dismounts out of the warrior.... reason for this is they dont have anymore available. Severly undermaned and all senior soldiers have signed off. The future is bright and it speaks russian

Massive respect for what they are having to do under recent cuts, and I know that the British army is one of the most professional and experienced forces out there, but I really don't like the fact how they are cutting back on actual heavy armour MBT's, and replacing them with IFV's/APC's... A war with Russia in Europe will not be like Afghanistan, the UK and Europe as a whole needs to be prepared for a 2008 Georgia style invasion scenario.

The British stands at 77,000 with 23,000 reservists. Not good enough. Get back to 150,000 regulars and 60,000 reserves like we had in the eighties.

The "Heavy Brigade" s a bit little on when it comes to MBT's - and therefore useless in any conventional war.
