Thank you. It's nice to hear about different types of collars. We travel too. We are looking for the best collar possible.

I love the no-nonsense, low key perspective. It doesn't sound like an infomercial like some other reviews.

Thanks for your input. Finally found a review that wasn’t a computer talking. Much appreciated

I have the same problem with the Halo. The GPS sometimes is not accurate and the collar alert goes off when the dog is in the middle of the defined boundary.

Fostering a rescue Malinois who came w a Fi 2 collar. Very happy with it. Battery lasts about 2-3 weeks between charging. Nice peace of mind incase he gets lost. Feels like an Apple designed product aka easy to use and high quality.

The FI collar I had for my puppy the aluminum clasp came undone several times, customer service sent a replacement collar but while that was happening it came off again in his crate and he chewed the thing apart and they won't replace it. I'd advise against it if an aluminum clasp is coming undone

Dude PLEASE put a list of the names/brands/models of each one of these in your video description. Don't have to stress about giving us a link or a price, I just want a comprehensive list of all the collars you have used or are using. Thanks!

Does the Halo collar allow for a moving boundary to be set from the app. For example, if I were to take my dog on a hike with me and wanted to set a 30 yard radius that I want him to stay within as we move along a trail. Thanks!

I believe you can use the beacon included in an "ignore fences" feature to keep dog near you.

How is the Halo with water?
Mine is going to cover roughly 10 acres, some reason my dogs are terrified of the beeps so they come running back into house. Fur too thick to get shocked thankfully after hearing your review of the halo. Newfoundland and a Great Pyrenees they're going on. They are pretty trained by like to bark at hikers along road and enjoy being pet by anyone.
How accurate would you say the GPS is? Like 10 digit grid, 8 digit?

I haven't let mine go swimming with it on but has been in the rain a few times and still holding up

Fi collar. So make sure you decide whether it works for you in the first 30 days or you are stuck with it and the first years subscription. It is quite limited depending on your area and situation. For me it simply was not reliable. The transceiver is too weak to function properly unless within strong cell coverage, don’t depend on the GPS function, it really requires wide open spaces. Make your own decision, but test it thoroughly in the first 30 days.

Use the AirTag on her collar to track/GPS! Cheap and easy to track and lasts at least a year =)). $39!

Downside to AirTag it needs to be within range of a phone

AirTags DO NOT us GPS...they rely on a network of iPhones, same as the FindMy app....so if there aren't any iPhones around the tag it can't be found!!!

After months of working with costumer service because the 3 collars I have were no longer connecting or staying connected, they finally offered to exchange them. I sent the 3 collars in and only received 1 collar back. It came in 1 week, which impressed me and I thought the other 2 would follow soon there after. However it has now been a month and no collars. Their last email states they received no collars back, and that they wanted proof I sent them back. However they sent me 1 of the 3 back so, please tell me how you did not receive the other 2 in the same box! This company is out for the money not your precious dog! I have also written 2 review on their web page and they are not listed! That says a lot about a company if they will only show happy reviews and not the review of the people who are having difficulty and they don't stand behind their product!

That's why I did this video I could never find anything except adds online
My collar always worked just now accurate enough to trust the shock part.

Super helpful! I have the fi, and was going to return it, but I think I’ll use the fi + a sport dog (I have an old one from when we first trained him)
Gps + recalling the dog if he is in range of the sport dog.
    Thanks!!!

Halo collar is junk. I bought two halo collars and both broke within two weeks of putting on the dogs. They are now useless and the company will do nothing about it. Been using Sport dog for years and have never had a problem with it.

That's what people need to know if they hold up. I did use the training to get my dog to stay in her area I don't use mine anymore

I found the Halo collar a very poor product. I bought a collar back in late 2020. Had multiple issues with it not working. Returned for a refund. This all took about a year to send it in multiple times and then to get the refund. In late November of 2021 they came out with an updated version. Claimed they had fixed all the issues. I applied my refund for the new collar. Upon receiving the new collar the same issues persisted. My dog would get beeps and corrections when no where near the boundaries. Corrections and beeps would be delayed. In the summer of 2022 it quit working all together. Would not charge.
I would not count on these collars to completely safeguard your dog. The quality is not there. The connectivity can be spotty with anything on cell data or gps. They should not put your pet's safety on this. The workmanship and reliability is not consistent. Might as well spend the $ on fencing or an underground dog fence. If you do try it out, please be aware of the very short window of time to return it. A 60 day return policy melts away fast with training and product shipping.
