Season 8 dance moms is overtly toxic. They are really going and arguing with these kids.
Best season are the seasons that Maddie and Mackenzie were in.. from season 1 to 6! Literally, Nia, Chloe, Kenzie, Maddie, Paige, JOJO, Kendall, Kalani, etc... Bro those are the OJ members who helped Abby lee “ALDC” be the best out of all!
Seriously, like the Moms stoop so low to the point that They talk smack abt the children in front of them, Like the others Mothers would NEVER like never do that, That is like so rude to say in front of a child that “ u are bad and blah blah blah”

Chloe was setup to fail more than any other girl in any season. She never acted a brat or threw a fit. She always took what was given to her and tried her best. This is why I can’t watch the new team. The original girls were so easy to love. These new girls act out with any minor inconvenience. It’s almost like watching toddlers in tiaras.

It's about the character that they were portrayed as. Gia was portrayed to be a brat, and Chloe was portrayed as a sweet little girl with no bad moments. She probably did have bad moments, but they weren't shown on TV because it would have contradicted her character. As Chloe herself said: "Nobody's perfect".
@@cute_bloxy5066 i’m talking about all the new girls in general not just gia. abby said during the original seasons the producers were surprised at how the og girls never fought. i’ve seen too many clips of sarah or gia or lilly starting arguments with the rest of the team. the og girls are much much better in my opinion.

@@Alyssa-vg5lz The Season 8 cast were a bunch of random children hand picked from all over America. The OG's were girls that had been dancing together since they were in diapers. Plus, the season 8 cast were older than the OG's were when they started. Quite a few of them were 12 or 13, which is the peak of puberty, and your hormones can make you do and say things that aren't very rational. Its obvious that some people aren't going to get along.
I think when gianina said Abby’s words & opinion doesn’t matter she was referencing Abby’s opinion on who she wanted/thought was going to win since that’s what Brady’s mom asked her..

The fact that Ashley and Stacy think its okay to literally BULLY a child for being a child is beyond embarrassing. Like shes a KID.
Like Jill said in season four when Abby and Gianna ganged up on Kendall, “That’s two adults against one child. How fair is that?” But Kendall had just turned 11 and Gia was 13 and is now 16 so she’s not little but teenagers are technically kids so yeah.

i have a theory that abby continuously targeted gia because she already had accomplished so much before the show that abby couldn’t claim that she “made her” like she does for all her dancers

Gia looks like she just really wanted to be able to show abby what she could do and win for her, but she seems like she didn’t want to show that she was doubting the choreo because it wasn’t as competitive as Hannah’s.
People need to know the difference between being a brat and standing up for yourself, the fact that she was even brave enough to stand up for herself in front of abby is incredible
I kinda get it. As a competitive dancer, you sometimes just know. Dances are sometimes set up to fail. Like just aren't at the right level to compete. So when she made her statement about "doing the best with what she was given" she was correct. Sometimes that's all that you can do. She said she liked her dance but knew she was never going to win. The moms created so much unnecessary drama. She's a young girl who said something which, ultimately, came out wrong and got taken too literally by the moms, who all very well knew what she meant. I feel for Gia, I really do
Plus, she probably spent her entire childhood watching the prior seasons of the show, so she would have had a pretty good idea of which dances have a better chance of winning at competitions.
GiaNina isn't a brat she was standing up to herself and she was being positive when she said who cares about abbies opinion, she was saying that to help herself from getting upset

I wouldn’t say she’s a brat I think she’s a very nice dancer and all but you can’t always cry if your dance isn’t competitive.
I find it really unfair and rotten that all the moms (except Joanne) and all the girls were wearing unicorn headbands to promote Hannah and no one did anything for Gianina.

In the first episode, Gia and Joanne had a huge turnout of people they know at the competition, all wearing cat ears. That competition was in New Jersey (Gia and Joanne's home town) and the producers told them to spread the word to as many of their friends and relatives as possible (to attend the competition and wear cat ears) so that they could have a good turnout for the first competition of the new season.
I feel like Gia's mom is the one who made her a brat by telling her she's perfect. Like wth no one is perfect😂👀

I feel like there's a difference between "I like my dance" and "I feel like my dance isn't competitive". Gianina can like her dance and still feel like it won't win. And the "Abby's opinion doesn't matter" was about who Abby thinks should win etc.
Joanne was right that the moms (mainly Stacey and Ashley) shouldn't trash talk a kid right in front of the kids face. It was unnecessary.

I feel bad for GiaNina and Joanne. They both have every right to be upset because every time they go through something, the other moms get involved and twist the whole situation around. Also, to the people who are saying GiaNina is a brat for crying, that’s not true. I know the original girls didn’t cry as much as the new team of girls do when stuff like that happens but they are also all completely different people. Crying is an emotion and people cry when their upset or hurt so GiaNina was crying because she was hurt that Abby was trying to set her up to fail.

After watching the show and then watching this clip I 100% believe her words were twisted, I believe she was speaking confidently and meant that whatever Abby or anyone said about her dance wouldn’t bother her because she knew she had danced the best that she could possibly have.

Let’s get one thing straight, gia is not a brat. If you have ever been on tv, or social media, or anything you would know your words will be twisted on the show. She never stated she hated the Choreo, and the dance. But it is a little kid jazz piece. She’s going up against Hannah and Brady(in the overalls) who both have amazing lyrical solos with her jazz dance (knowing jazz does not win in comparison to lyrical) so of course she’s going to be a little disheartened. And when she says “abbys opinion doesn’t matter” she is clearly talking about her yelling at her, she’s saying even if Abby hates the way she danced she’ll be proud.
It bothers me so much that the other moms basically bait her into saying she doesn't like it ( which she doesn't have to. It's not like she objected to not do it lol she's just saying it's not her best )

My thing is… Gianinas mom kept bragging about her success and her being on broadway and stuff like that, which props to Gia because she’s really young and has made it that far already. But then again her mom uses that as a way to brag and throw it the other moms face that her daughter is better and she’s perfect, if she’s so perfect and so successful why is she on the show? Cause that is what Abby does, her job is to prepare her students for the professional world, if Gia already has that why is she on the show? That only leads me to believe that they’re only there for the clout of being on a tv show. Cause personally I’ve never heard of a Gianina ANYWHERE.

Telling someone to stop crying is invalidating and dismissing the person's feelings. I feel that Abby Lee Miller need to check herself and think about being positive about a person's emotions in a positive fashion instead of telling someone to stop crying.
