I’m a retired teacher, and at our school, which was elementary, we did give a pass to late comers 5he first few days. In high school, with schedule changes, kids not knowing where to go, I’m sure everything was ok. Ryan always has such a good attitude. Just love all your three kiddos.
My HS gives detentions unless you have a doctors appointment

i’m so happy ryan had a good day besides being a tad late but it will definitely be something to look back at and laugh along with! I had to transfer high schools for my junior/senior year because my first high school closed and i’m glad that ryan is having an easier time than me and my friends did and it seems that you are all thriving in florida! i always love the vlogs but these past few with the whole family together has been extra special to watch 💗💗

In my eyes, Jill is a super mom that anyone could wish for! She keeps everyone together, in unusual situations she doesn't stress at all, calms everyone down with her manner. That's a great gift I appreciate in you Jill.

This brings back a memory of mine. We moved to NC from NY State. Already nervous I walked into a new middle school, 8th grade, late due to the bus driver getting lost! That already didn’t make me Feel good about this. What a first day of a new middle school walking into class that was half over. Not knowing anyone. So I get it! Plus my name is Ryan. Maybe it’s a Ryan thing? But it all was good after the fact. Good luck!

I’m from the UK and have no clue about the US schooling system I’d love for you to go more into depth on the high school and college system as the differences interest me so much ! I’ve actually applied to study at Florida state for a year abroad so that would be extremely helpful!!

FYI you don’t need your ringer on for your alarm to go off! I sleep with my ringer off and the volume all the way down and my alarm always goes off. You can set your alarm volume somewhere in settings.
😂🤣 that's called Florida time. When we moved to Florida it felt like you were always on vacation and it was SO hard to get into a routine and schedule! 😂

Why do I think this vlog was awesome? It was hilarious. Although I wish Ryan’s day had played out as it was planned, for him and his new friends, when he looks back on it, years from now, I hope he finds it as endearing as the viewers found it.

12:39 AWWW! See everything happens for a reason. I served in the Special Forces, we actually had training how to sleep anywhere, under any conditions for deployment, so we could sleep when we could, on a ship, in a chopper, so on. Since then I don't need an alarm, I just tell myself to wake up in an hour, or 4 AM and I snap awake fully alert 5 minutes before.
This would only happen to you guys. 🤣🤣 I'm pretty sure Katie and I made the same face!!!!
So ,this was great ,saw Donnelly house a mess ,which is real life.😎 Ryan late to school ,but helped another newby to class .also in the mad rush he forgets lunch, so he gets to experience hot lunch in new school cafeteria. As, a new student I think they have some grace time worked in there I m sure kids were late because of locker opening issues .😎 go cat! 😊 hope Ryan had a better second day!😎

Students at my husband's high school don't start school until 8:30am. He has to be at the school by 7:30am. The elementary schools in my area start at 7:30am. Please note I am not married to high schooler but a high school teacher.

Not with iPhones I never have my ringer on but you can change the sounds to it and the volume when your listening to the different sounds

When I was leaving for my study abroad for a year we had a last minute panic. My mother had everything planned down to the minute but the best laid plans go wrong. We discovered five minutes before I was due to leave for the airport that the handle on one of my suitcases (I had two and a backpack) was completely broken. Fortunately my family has a large collection of suitcases most of which no one lays a particular claim to so my mother sent me to collect one while she started frantically unpacking the case and then insisted on folding everything because I'm a messy packer and had thrown everything in then she decided that the case I brought down was too old and heavy so she sent my sister who had just come back from six months of working abroad to run up and unpack her own suitcase so I could take that one instead. We did eventually make it out the door and I made my flight absolutely fine as we lived close to the airport and my family hate to be late for anything so allow plenty of time for everything and as a consequence of my mum packing my suitcase everything was way neater so it ended up being a bonus.

usually the first day in high school its ok to be late i remember hen i was 30 mints late they just told me to go get my information and go on with my day
You don’t necessarily need your ringtone turned on for the alarm to go off there is a setting where you can change that
Hey guys ! This video was hilarious😂. Just to let you know , the ringer doesn’t have to be on for the alarm to work. I sleep with my phone on silent and do not disturb & the alarm always goes off …Ryan’s phone must have just glitched on the first day hahah.
