Way To Close To A Helicopter

- Surprised by a medical helicopter after Gaggle had announced it was heading my way. It is a big sky to survey and I should have been able to see them about ten seconds sooner, I was not looking at the right altitude and heading. With the sun behind me I am thankful that it turned out good.

Keep your head on a swivel up there! I had a similar experience with a military helicopter. I’ve been told that sometimes they’re not even looking out the window and are flying by instruments. Stay safe brother

Is that an Apco lift ez and if so do you like the tip steering tied in?
Yes it is the Lift EZR and I do like it tied in. I don’t do any acro but it did make it more responsive.
Pretty sure that's our local air ambulance you are seeing. Probably headed back to FFC from the hospital.
Great vid! I can't believe the amount of stuff they are building over there. The guy in that one white house has got to be pissed off or alternatively, happy because his property is probably worth a bundle now. Are they building a BRIDGE over there?
Yes there are atlas three more building sites further back towards Trilith
I didnt see no helicopter, I scrolled through the video.
6:00 to 6:18 in the screen in front of the arrow very hard to see on small screen then around 6:18 when I actually saw him while flying he had crossed infringe of me and was at my 9 o’clock above me. I had already quit looking for him.
I didn’t see ANY helicopter either.
@@swiftadventurer right around 6:18 when I say he is right there and I look to my left.
What comms do you use when flying? Please be as detailed as possible. A few of us are looking into getting radios so we can talk during flights. We have micro avionics headsets but don't have radios yet.

I have the helmet from Aviator ppg
It has Bluetooth, and is set up for 2 meter, Aviation band and also is set up for GoPro right out of the box. It is a little pricey but works great. Thank you for checking out the video.
The radios we talk to each other on are just cheap Bofang 8 watt.
I feel you get into to much trouble not flying with me. We need to change that

What comms do you use
Aviator PPG in Florida is where I bought this helmet, comes ready out of the box. Bluetooth, 2 meter and aviation band connections with GoPro and microphone.
