    We pass judgments on ourself and then try to fix ourselves out of the judgments we have passed.

    @DrJimRichards Hello, Jim...from another Huntsville native! Thank you for sharing your gifts. Questions: What's the Scriptural reference for "selective processing?" Is that a psychological term? Tony Robbins? Landmark Education? I know "Pain is unavoidable; suffering is optional" is Robbins. Is your ministry a hybrid of Bible, psychology and other learning technologies? Curious about the actual Scriptural references to many of the terms you frequently use (e.g. "selective processing"). Thank you. BLESSINGS and Shalom!

      Yes He does. And as long as He and His truth is first in our life prosperity is not damaging to us.

    I takes a lot of patience to change. Satan is always on the attack. It is so easy to feel defeated

      Change is challenging. The truth is Satan is not our problem with change. Our problem is tradition, habit and ways of thinking and seeing. This is why the Bible teaches us to renew our mind, which includes what we think and how we think.

    SELF JUDGEMENT WAS TOLD TO ME BY MY MOTHERS 1950"S HOLINESS TEACHING. YOUR GOING TO HELL, THAT IS HOW SELF WORTH ISSUES, MAN WHAT A CYCLE OF HELL.

    i have enjoyed your teachings, but i have to partially disagree with one aspect of what you're saying... when someone pays me a compliment, i am cautious because of being manipulated in the past... i am very conscious and selective when giving out compliments because i don't ever want to treat people in that manner... so it's not an absolute that it's a judgement reflecting one's own character... sometimes it's because of experience... just saying... :) thank you for all the work that goes into these videos and for making them available...

      niecers but even that is coming out of your own woundings....if you judge that people are insincere you are determining what Is going on in their hearts.

      You are absolutely right. Just because two things look the same externally doesn't mean they are the same internally. We are the only one's that can know why we do what we do. So, we don't use this information to pass judgments. We use this information to manage our own life. I'm glad you recognize the difference!

    • @jimjbrrichards1413
      @jimjbrrichards1413 6 лет назад +3

      I understand what you're saying and we should be cautious. But I didn't say that projection is the only way we enter into judgment about compliments. That is just one example. Our past experiences can also be a form of judgement and projection, we are assuming good or evil based on our assumption of their motive. So, absolutely... be cautious, it is wise to be cautious, but never assume to know why they say what they say or do what they do!

      You are so right. There are so many subtle ways we slip into judgement. Learning to live free from judgement is quite a journey!
