Thank you so much - You answered the MOST important thing: 'Create new group tracks in order to solo the individual Drums' - If you don't, they will all group together - yes, I agree, it's extremely frustrating! Xx
Short but sweet. All the information you need, right there. Thanks for this great resource for quickly handling and splitting the channels of the Drummer track!
man thank yo so much, really helpful info. I can add that you can just click "E" on each midi track to see which instrument is playing (if is the snare, the toms, etc) and just join the tracks are the same part of the drum, so you don't have to drag the midi track and hear it and be certain which part is.
Couldn't actually do it. Have to copy the midi notes to the separate tracks if you want to do that. Apparently: the "Separate by Note Pitch" option is not available for Drummer tracks in Logic Pro. This option is typically used for MIDI regions or tracks that contain melodic or pitched information. Since Drummer tracks in Logic Pro use a combination of MIDI patterns and virtual drum instruments, the individual drum sounds are not separated by note pitch in the same way as a traditional MIDI track.
bro honestly the most simple no bs advice I've gotten so far thank you for not wasting my time
you have no clue how much this has helped me, I have been watching hours long tutorials on Logic, but this one helped me the most.

Choose a producer kit, and everything is named and neatly arranged when you split by note pitch. Thank me later.

I can’t get the option to right click on drummer so I can convert to midi. Is there something I’m missing? Maybe something in preferences?

just to add , you can go into the mixer and solo the parts but why not in transport ,god knows??

I want to pan my toms differently. This won't split them up the way I want to.
Hope that apple will fix this annoying problems in their future updates
well, that - like everything else in Logic - seems incredibly complicated.
Thank you so much!
