Absolute beauties. Was all set to buy a CdV, but by the time my allocation arrived, the rapacious gougers at Richemont had greedflated the price up to a ridiculous 42k. A very nice watch at 25k, acceptable at 30, maybe suck it up at 33, out the door at 42k...! Even the AD was shocked by the new pricing and had been set to drop 20% on the previous price. But borgeois concerns aside, lovely watches and probably the ultimate chrono movement. Some very nice Breguet's use it too (obv, Lemania), in gold, for less...
I know that model very well. Had the chance to purchase a yellow gold one for about 13-14k... then the other day I also had the black dial platinum on my hands which I also should have bought probably but they're quite small and a bit too old-fashioned
I wish brands were getting away from Tachymeter scales. Not useful in todays age, and were tools back then that people actually used. I'd prefer to see more useful measurements for chrono's being implemented instead of holding on to the past for the dials (case, etc., can harken back easily). Then what would the scale be? Pulse perhaps, but who am I to say! Just a plebe here.
