Hahahahaha caught laughing at his first few seconds here 🤣 I recently bough the black one, and I'm loving it, and while I'm loving it, I've ordered two more from Sheaffer 🤣🤣
I watched many pen accounts, u r the one of the best. U should record more videos. Believe me, %90 of other pen reviewers are crap..! Keep going buddy, u r very very good
Thank you for your video and review. I made the order for this pen last week. I was shocked with the pen quality related to a price. The store standard price in Ukraine for this pen is around $40. The pen itself feels like $5-10. Extremely cheap plastic, scratched nib, barrel looked like used before on a new pen! Never saw that crap on any Parker from my collection
Wow that is really bad. I know prices can vary, but I have seen them here in South Africa for close to half that price. And the three I have are really excellent build quality, smooth nibs - good quality for the price. Something must be wrong for you to get such a poor product. Maybe try and see if Parker will respond to a complaint?
I have 3 Vector XLs and one of them is prone to skipping. The Jotter provides a little more feedback in my opinion, but I actually think that makes it less prone to skip. I find the XL almost too smooth, and with very smooth paper I think it might skip.... just my thoughts.
I bought one of these while on holiday in Greece this summer. It is my first Parker pen, and I like it so far. It's thinner that I prefer, but still quite comfortable. I was suprised by how smooth the nib was, so now my interest is piqued to find out more of the brand. Thank you for your review! I prefer the newer design, but they are both nice :)
I haven't seen any green color here in local stores, but now i think i want one. After all, my old jotter and vector need a new Parker member on their family. I was expecting you to uncap them, since you had them on the desk so i could see the grip area better... They have a noticeable difference from the allure in the grip area, vector xl have matte finish where allure has a glossy plastic, kinda more slippery with sweaty hands. I like those "traditional" brands reviews, like Parker and others. Always good to hear other people's opinions.
The green is a very nice colour. I like to use with it Diamine Green Black, it is a very deep saturated green and with the medium nib on the VectorXL is writes really smooth. And you are right about the grip sections, I haven't even noticed that.
Nice video! I never new there were so many similarities between the Vector XL and the Allure. I still find it strange that they have decided to use the Vector name, as it has nothing in common with the original, albeit I'd say it's more upmarket in terms of styling and build quality, not even to mention price! My favourite Vector I've owned was a stainless steel trimmed example with a black plastic end finial, which I have retrofitted with the aerometric converter, which I still prefer to the piston converter to this day. Kudos! Keep them coming! PS: Would you be able to maybe source some Chinese pens like Asvine and Hongdian in future?
My stainless steel Vector remains one of my all-time favoutes and will deserve it's own video. As for Hongdian and Asvine, I don't have any yet, but I am sure I can source them. Glad you enjoyed the video, I also enjoy making them. Which pen (in the lower end of the price spectrum) would you most like to see reviewed?
Thanks for video, does the pen original M nib, it seems that it has some line variations and I really liked it. Another question, does it skip or hard start if you don't use it for several days. I have Parker IM and it skips sometimes and has hard start if I don't use it for 2-3 days. If the nib is original factory made and doesn't have skipping and hard start, this one will be my nex pen.
My XL came in a medium. I would not try to get line variation from it. I have 3 of them, and one of the three skips a little, the other 2 are perfect and they don't dry out quickly. My IM also dries very quickly, unless you use it every day. It's a pity that my one XL skips a bit, so I don't use that one much. But there other two are excellent writers and I love them. You can also check out the Waterman Allure - basically the same pen, but you pay more for the branding. I have one in a fine.
Oh I can't remember what ink I used for this review, but all my inks dry fairly quickly. I use mainly Parker, Sheaffer, Diamine, Iroshizuku and Pelikan.
They are both very nice pens and good value for money. The Parker nibs tend to be a little broader, so you get really juicy inkflow. The Parker is perhaps slightly heavier, it is also a metal pen. With the AL star you have the option to swop nibs easily. Ultimately it is a matter of preference. I prefer the Vector.
The name of your channel really highlights the struggle we all have: Do I need that 'one more pen'? Why, of course I do! 😂😂😂
And try explain that to other people!

Thank you for reviewing this pen ❤
You are welcome

I struggle with some skipping.. I think the nib in the parker jotter is better ( steel vs brass)😅

They are really awesome pens. Which colour did you get?
@@onemorepen I got the same as you, metallic teal. It's a beautiful colour :)

Does this come with a medium nib or fine nib?
I'm not sure, but I've only seen them in a medium nib so far.
I had that pen with the medium nib but I was not satisfied with it. Loaded with Parker Quink Blue the nib was really very slow to glide.
That's a real pity, usually they are quite smooth and wet.

Does this pen come with an ink converter when you buy it?
It came with a cartridge only and I must say, Parker converters are a bit on the expensive side.

How long before the ink dries?

How does this compare to Lamy Allstar...??
