    In my experience, one of the worst things we can do in difficult times is nothing. Take action.

    Your biggest asset is your discipline, discipline to control your emotions, discipline to get up and get your jobs done, discipline to research the jobs you need to perform. Most people are undisciplined.

    Just read a book by Dale Carnegie called "How to win friends and influence people." It can change your mindset and make it easier for you to understand other people and how to approach different situations in your industry.

    I disagree with your karma assertion. How we feel is what makes the difference. If we feel positively about the people around us they can feel it and they act accordingly. Humans are very sensitive to the energy around them. It is subconscious. If a person goes around thinking negative things about the people around them people will react negatively towards them. Think of monsters and they will appear. We are energy. The world around us is energy and it all reacts to us. Therefore be mindful of your thoughts and feelings.

    Great video. I agree 1000%. I own and operate my handyman business in Northern MI. Let go of fear, and you can conquer anything not just on the work aspect. God is real. God is great he let's people like me, and you go out and help other people and bring joy in other people's lives. Sometimes, I get much more out of bringing joy to people than getting paid at the end.

      @@JohnnyMacAndCheese to be honest, only reason I went with markate is because of my fellow battle buddy at "handyman process". No one else I would personally trust than another veteran. Reason why it took me so long to go with a crm.

    so, you get to a job and have no idea or the necessary tools to do it. What do you do ? Reject the job ? Tell the customer that you'll come back in a week after you have watched the videos on youtube ?

    • @plantmanstudios
      @plantmanstudios 7 месяцев назад

      I am sure what he did was teach himself some basic jobs, then he only accepted jobs he understood how to do. Then he would go watch videos when a job offer came up so the next time it got offered to him he would know what to do. Frankly, the toughest aspect of earning money for yourself is a person does not sell their service they sell themselves. If a person does not trust you it wont matter if you have 10 years experience. They wont hire you. My suggestion to you, either do your own thinking for yourself or pay someone like me who has already done the thinking. You will never succeed in life wanting people to think for you or refusing to pay someone who can teach you. Best of luck.

    • @utubehandyman
      @utubehandyman  7 месяцев назад

      This was many years ago buddy. By now I rarely run into something I don't know how to do. Only thing that I struggle with is texturing stucco and drywall. I still do it, people are still happy, I still get paid but I know I can do better and I will eventually. Back in the day I would book appointments far in between to allow myself to research the job. Then I would show up and freaking kill it. One job at a time I taught myself how to do everything I do. No different than any other job, I was a medic and went to school for it. DO you think all medics come out of school knowing everything?

    Nice video, I have similar story. It’s nice how you make videos. One of best things you can do for a fellow man is to show him how to do things.
    Google ads did not work for me. Watched many videos and have experience with SEO,they even gave 1k credit for spending 1k. So 2k, not many results. My thought is that perhaps because you and I are in different industries and the placement of ads we paid for because of that.
    And I know to it is good to push yourself and face your fears, and most likely you can agree with this, but sometimes it’s better to pass on a crazy job and live to fight another day. One example would be like if someone has a 400 lb safe in a basement. The reason a person should pass on that is because those stairs are now older and this will be most stress they have had on them since it was brought down. Also something that heavy will be more likely to cause damage to a floor. Sure just charge more, but some things are just not worth any amount of money.
    Anyway thank you for your time and I hope you have a nice rest of your day.
