Scary DIY Articulated Finger Extensions

- See how I built spidery Articulated Finger Extensions for Halloween. The fingers are made out of Popsicle sticks, wire and plastic tube (water hose). I also sewed fabric gloves to wrap it all in. The creation of these wasn't the easiest, but came out alright. Hope my progress helps in your own process! Enjoy.

I found my biggest inspiration from Gary Fay, and the initial idea was to copy his idea more or less, but ended up a bit different and shorter.

It shows all the work behind your amazing claws and that everyone encounters difficulties when crafting something. In the process of making these, and boy are these pain and suffering to make like they will look sick when finished but pop sticks are just splitting left and right and boy it takes some decent time. ( Regardless very happy you made this tutorial it's gonna help a lot with a couple costumes )

I actually had basically this exact idea after I saw Didacts big 6 fingered hands in Halo 4, but with one more finger.

@@SpookySquid14 i made the wood smooth and used black lycra and made it a bit too long and wide because it would not bent well otherwise :') from close it looks not that good but from a distance it looks fine! I did not nearly got it as nice looking as in the video

@@MaelstromCrafts Yes. I have one finger finished and put together the rest are in line for printing. Though I used a different design from instructables that look like robot fingers.

I figured out a wire that works, but what size and type of rubber tubing did you use?
@@DannyMcHugh Nice! I used a cheap water hose. One size that I could fit the tip of my fingers in. (I used a slightly bigger hose for the thumbs) I then i cut open one small ring from the same hose, that could fit around the base of my fingers.
I bought the hose at a hardware store, and I was able to buy only the amount of material needed.

I got this recommended to me after watching a bunch of the new resident evil. I don't think its a coincidence.
I like this. I think a full outfit that is that is musou black including the claws and a head crest with some LED bright eye would be great. Musou is rather literally the darkest black that can be manufactured. So dark it can not reflect light, so it is a dark that is darker than night. Hide in a dark area and start moving around. Power up the eyes once in a while to scare the hell out of people.
