- On July 24th, 2020, I chased the Western New York & Pennsylvania's Oil City Job with a vintage Alco C430 for power. We started our chase right at WNYP's yard in Meadville. The train did some switching before going to the Smuckers plant just east of town. The train had to make two trips to the plant to pull out the empties and shove in the loads. I wasn't able to catch the train again until it got to Oil City. There, it switched at a chemical plant and then went west light power to Franklin. At Franklin, the C430 picked up some gondolas given to them by a crane. It was interesting seeing the operation take place. After that, we chased the train back to Meadville Yard. It was definitely a fun chase. Thanks for watching! Like what you see? Subscribe! Also make sure to check out my other social media pages!

Nice new opening
Good Stuff Sam
Nice video. Greetings from Vietnam. Support you!
You easily have taken the #1 spot for best chase of the oil city branch. Your coverage was phenomenal to say the least, truly a master piece of a chase! And just as a heads up, the ainsworth plant in Meadville is now smuckers, and is also getting a new siding along with the some new unloading equipment installed
Keystone Cache & Compass Railfan Productions Thank you so much! I saw that it said Smuckers, but on google it said it was Ainsworth. I’ll change it.
How amazing to see the crane being used as a switcher!
I have just uploaded a new CSX Diesel Locomotive video in Microsoft Train Simulator (2001) and this video was on my main RUclips page and on the end of my PC Gameplay video. Nice video I really like it. Awesome Chasing and some really cool shots of the Alco Locomotive and Wagons. Good Stuff :)
Cool new intro! Some very nice sounds there, I particularly like all the grinding & squealing around 2:30.
Great video Sam! I really liked all the switching maneuvers in the plants. I presume that the crane and idler flat cars brought the gondolas with scrap metal out of the scrap yard because the trackage in the scrap yard would not allow the engine to go any further into the scrap yard without the possibility of a derailment. Thank you for sharing this video with us! I also liked the new introduction on this video. I like the fact that you change your introduction after a while.
Thomas Mackowiak Thanks!
(2:45) Ah that’s a siren
(21:05) Oh those guy never setup the air brake.
Hi I'm putting together a RUclips video on the alco century's. Would it be ok if I used some of this footage?
Yes! Just make sure to give credit
@@SamLovesTrains thanks!
What song was used for the intro? Nice Video!
9:33 'Apples & Bananas' 😀
Makes a change to see some graffiti you can understand
