I really should play Rainbow Islands more. I always liked Parasol Stars best, so I've played that a ton. Less so the original Bubble Bobble or Rainbow Islands.

As far as I know, update all fetches the single RAM version. I haven't tried updating the dual RAM MiSTer yet.
Yes you do if you want to try it. There doesn’t seem to be any real difference but I have both.

There's a max number of rainbows you can have on the screen at any given time, so I always found it best to have too. OMG it's a double rainbow 🌈🌈.
Most likely going to have to upgrade my 128mb sdram module since it’s v2.5, and I’ve heard that the Saturn core requires v2.9 or higher from what I’ve read.
Newer RAM definitely has better compatibility from what I understand.

It's the only place I get them from. Saturn you'll get via update all, so you're good.

Mister is soo expensive to buy
I guess it's subjective. My full setup cost £350, and for me it's great value.
The de10 nano is definitely more than it used to be, but it was subsidised for education to begin with. I think it’s still good value overall.
