Thank you for your video, I think this looks quite good... As I do not drink Alcoholic beverages, I was thinking more about the Cherry on top of an old-fashioned banana-split that used to be a popular dessert at most good restaurants when I was a child... As a young child, 1950's in Canada, my Saturday treat was to go out for a dessert like an ice-cream Sundae, or Banana Split, or pie... like old-fashioned home-made style Coconut-Cream or Banana-Cream or Lemon Meringue, or even Apple pie "A La Mode".. There was no such thing as "fast-food" and when you went to a restaurant, it was REAL food just like your own Mom or Grandma would make if they were a great cook... These foods are no longer available anymore... It's all imitation food now... Not that these foods were health foods, but they were eaten only on one special day of the week, and not even every week... That's why they call it "the good old days".

I love the Tom Collins. And star anise and cinnamon and clove. I'm going to do this cherry mix for sure
I’ve always wondered how those cherries are made. 😮
Wonderful video 🤌🏻

OK! I have work to do! Just bought some delicious cherries !!! And I really love cherries with my old fashioned! Thanks!
Amazing video, and in general amazing material!! you deserve a lot more of subscribers, greetings from Chile
I agree. Hello Chile :-)
thank a lot! I made it from my grandmas kompot (I'm from Poland) and it is great! :D
Thanks a lot fot the recipe.
I dig it! I’ve seen some folks boil the cherries in the syrup. What is the difference?
The difference is your cherries will turn to mush if you boil them 😁
@ no! That will not do! Haha. Thank you, not going to boil them.
Thanks for this! What cocktails could you do with the leftover syrup?
It's basically a cherry liqueur. So anything that needs cherry liqueur :-)
@@TheDrCork Yum! Thanks :)
Do these cherries need to be refrigerated or are they shelf stable after being jarred?
You can store them on the shelf, just remove the star anise, otherwise it will continue to release its flavor.
Greetings from Croatia :D

Why do I put it in a jar. Can I put it straight in alcohol bottle?
Yes, you can. But how are you going to fish cherries out through a small bottle neck?
