Reversals aren't cheese, if that's what breaks the combo or advantage then that's what they should do. The problem with that Ness is they didn't adapt to you after you wised up and stopped running into the reversals
It's largely underrated because it's "nerfed" compared to Cloud's Nair from Smash 4 (good out of shield, neutral, combo, disadvantage, does your taxes). In early Ultimate it caused people to think he wasn't going to be good in this game. You have to love how time changes things.
Or a broken back air, defensive meta with cloud being one of the best anti meta picks and of course small buffs that give him more survivability and utility like making up b snap to ledge easier. Cloud was dogwater on releease to the point finishing touch never hit opponents and it only ever got fixed because mew2king showcased how bad cloud was live for over a year. Mew2king saved cloud and cloud mains are likely forever grateful for that one. It took over year before cloud was good again. This isn't time changing things as much as you think and moreso the small buffs having larger impact than initially predicted and the game favoring his style of play like how 4 favored his on and off playstyle.

I agree cloud nair is absurdly underrated. As a cloud main I use it a ton compared to a few weeks ago. It’s also a get off me tool and it’s effective for what most cloud mains use it for. I like how you utilize it tho

Exactly! Uptilt nair chase setups are insane, grabbing with cloud is underrated to. The tech chases you can get with aerials or dash attack put you in advantage state really quick

100% don’t think just because a bunch of people made it means the tier list is based. There’s strong regional biases that throw characters back and forth across the tier and when the character is placed, he or she is suddenly in a place that he or she might not belong in. Lack of players of a certain character in an area of the world can help influence this decision/more characters playing a character in a region can also influence this.
Yeah. The placements of all the characters in that tier list were completely understandable. Completely different from the personal tier lists solo creators make that always have at least one placement you have to roll your eyes at because, of course, some bias will slip in. 😂

Cloud forward smash is super underrated too. You can take stocks at 60-70 if you catch people with it.
