I love the idea of a character being taken and found on the altar! I had a player tell me after one session that they weren't happy with their character and wanted to create a new one. This would have been a great option for their original character's demise. Wish I had watched this a week ago!
Better late than never! ;D That said, I HAVE been in your shoes and there are a few clever ways to help a player 'swap' in/out a character. One of my favorites has always been to use a God, or some other all powerful supernatural being, and literally swap the old character for the new one via a 'little' teleportation magic. ;D
Right?! Why go with a boring plant golem when you can use a DRAGON? Oh! Pro-tip if you intend to continue your game into Curse of Strahd proper. You could tie your dragon into The Order of the Silver Dragon from Chapter 7. I ultimately made my dragon the long, lost son of Argynvost. Made for some wonderful world building. Thanks for watching, and Good Luck!
Bummer, man. You know, I actually wouldn't be surprised if it is currently out of print. The publisher, Ninja Division, had a rough go of it a few years ago. Your best bet may just be through places like Ebay right now.

Thank you for sharing, I’m a huge horror fan and have chosen death house as my first adventure to DM. Considering changing to this dragon, great idea

@@Flintworth thank you for the extra tip, that’s a great idea ☺️
Lovely retelling of Death House
Why thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it.
Where did you get your maps of the death house?
Are you referring to the map tiles I used in the video? If so, they came from a miniatures game called ‘Super Dungeon Explore.’
@@Flintworth ça existe pas sur amazone... peux tu m'envoyez le lien en MP svp?
