I love these trucks, mine has the 5.9 sitting on a stand at the moment. Boy I got it from thought he cracked the block, ended up being a warped head. I put a nice, bored, cammed, chipped, 318 in it for now. Doesn't have the throat yours does.. Those pipes sing a good tune.. Mine is loud and sounds good, but it doesn't have that deep sound as yours
looks great, long ago i had a 2000 solar yellow r/t dakota, beautiful, but had to trade it back, man where are your r/t emblems etc,an those taillights look different,i guess aftermarket ideas maybe,i like them stock, except love the look of mine as its lowered...i would never ever take off my badges etc,i think kids do that some, i ,ll never understand, but still looks so good..
Thanks! I actually bought it this way. I agree, I usually run stock badges, just cause it's what it comes with - I dunno, to each their own. Appreciate the comment and view! What it cost to put in the r/t and mine makes 423hp to the motors and just about 700 foot pounds of torque to the rear tires it’s actually 692fpt all professionally done and had 12,000 put in bigger injectors and all that but I was thinking of doin a turbo or the supercharger what’s you thinks better and how long it take you to do yours
When I went to school at SAM, one of the other students had one of these RT 5.9 supercharged Dakotas. Every once in a while we would have a Dyno Day where all the guys going to school there could Dyno their project car or daily driver just to see what it made. And this guy strapped down his supercharged Dakota RT. I don't remember what it made but it was an embarrassing number. I want to say it was under 200 horsepower to the tire. In fact the owner of the school, Judd was so baffled by it he said it had to have been that It wasn't intercooled. The owner then unhooked the charge pipe and ran the motor NA all while still driving the supercharger but venting it to the atmosphere... It made more power than it did with boost.
@@Firion13 yeah detonation isn't your friend. Probably didn't even have the timing retarded either. I would think a healthy 5.9 stock motor with 6-8psi should put out 350whp at least 👍🏻
@@dtruth5769 the stock motor should do fine, but depends on how much boost. I would recommend new head gaskets with ARP studs, and definitely weld the plenum on the bottom of the intake mani or buy an aftermarket one. An intake, a cam, and good headers will wake it up nicely.
That 360 is a potent motor.
I miss my truck I regret selling it
Man that truck is nice!! Didn't even know they came in yellow!!!

Man i like that sound of that engine keep on the good work on you dakota í have a 2000 black one with the red stickers
I just bought a rcsb myself!!! In black
Solar yellow! One of the rarest.
Somebody needs to swap one of these from-factory supercharged 360s into a jeep. Hell the jeeps should have come from factory with them any ways!
just buy the trackhawk.
Some older Cherokee had the same engine
Do you remember your supercharger specs? Size, brand and if cam was changed? I have a 99' club cab r/t and I'm looking to add a supercharger to it.

Hi do you have intention to instal a intercoler to the supercharger í will be great?.
Dodge needs to bring back the DAKOTA R/T with a HEMI
Cummings Diesel Dakota too! The 3.0 would shine in a smaller truck aww dreams
@@ChiefRickyRCpersonally I’d put the 2.8L crate engine that Cummins makes
Through my speaker this thing sounds like chitty chitty bang bang.
No intercooler and he has that huge clutch fan. Those truck have heavy ass clutch fans.
I agree, I would swap for electric fans to free up some of that parasitic power loss.
That truck sound like it could eat a whole train!📣📣📢📢🔈🔈🔈🔈🔊🔊😭😭
No intercooler? Living life on the edge.

What type of upgrades did u have to make to the 360 to handle the supercharger.

What did you have to do the engine to supercharge it
@@0nux229 custom bracket for the supercharger and FMU for fuel
