wow.. anyone associated with Disco in the 70s was buried alive by 1984 , #1 single in UK for 3 weeks and no record deal in the US.. great man , God Bless Harry Wayne Casey
The explanation of why he wasn't going to come back in the 80's is.. we had Michael Jackson. And KC music seemed to go less danceable, more sappy love ballads without the big band power, and in a backdrop of disco being dead as a thing. Heck, but 84, we had Punk and New Wave and Alternative coming to life. Think "REM". No room for white guys singing Soprano in my teen years.
The music business is brutal, this guy had 4 top 10's in the charts at the same time, but when Disco ended, record companies wanted new wave sounds... Out with the old, in with the new BRUTAL!
He seems to be a lovely man. I lusted after him back in the day, not realising he is as nice on the inside as he is on the outside! I always noticed he didn't come across egotistical like so many good-looking dudes and just expressed himself very naturally, really connecting with his audience
It probably helped that for much of his career when he was big in the 1970’s, KC was on a smaller record label that was relatively local from where he lived in Florida, so he likely didn’t really have to network nearly as much with his peers on the much bigger labels based in California. KC has said that he felt very isolated by his success and fame, so he likely really didn’t suffer many of the kind of delusions and ego trips that some of his peers in the music industry get caught up in.
SO TIRED of comments about his weight! Hey I'm 67 now, and I don't look as good in a bathing suit now as I did when I was 17, so what! I'm still alive, others I grew up with are not. Get over it! People who trash the appearance of others should be REQUIRED to post their OWN photo!
@@DavidChrisCastillo-im1wg: I'm assuming, Harry's current weight - he gained quite a bit, and talks about it in a 2023 performance video (he was 72 at the time).
@@nichollsriggot2031: Yeah, read up on Finch before you get so critical!! Harry hired only the BEST musicians, so, Finch's departure didn't change that part of the band!!
I don't think that they were his real eyebrows, I think he just painted them on or had some 1 else paint them on him as a costume for his performance. It's a shame that he & his band don't produce anymore songs, but I comprehend why he left the entertainment industry. Anyway, I still listen to his 1970's to early 1980's hits in the 2020's.
I was born in 1983 and KC was hot back in the day. I bet those days were fun. Thanks for paving the way for a great music.❤
KC is a great dude...got to shake his hand and get his autograph after a show in Minnesota in 2003. Should be in the rock hall of fame for sure!
What an absolute sweetheart! Very smart and so dang cute. Nice to see and hear Dick Clark again! I watched and listened to everything he was on!
Love his humility. Today's musicians can learn a lot from him. These days artists have become so selfish.
This is why I love this man! He is so sexy and real talented but yet so friendly and down to earth. The Perfect Man!!!

God bless KC and all ✌️
Harry was so clever but in the end i think after this record he quit the biz for a long time. Dick Clark was always a kind interviewer.

Comments about who's weight?

@@User-x5s3x Oh, well anyway, I still like his music which I think is superior to almost any of the new stuff that comes out today.
Rick Finch was the producer and the sound engineer of band even KC said it in their early years
When Rick Finch left the group KC music has been rubbish since the early 80s

Bitte noch mehr von kc and the sunshine band
Why’s with the eyebrows
Must've been a 'style' for some back then!
His eyebrows reached his sideburns
I thought it was cute! He did that on one of his videos too!
