XR is doing really great for such an old phone. I have mine for 4 years and I want to upgrade mainly because of battery and storage. I saw a lot of camera tests of IPhone 14 and 15 and honestly - not very impressive, I expected bigger jump in quality and especially in colors for new IPhones (I noticed that many videos and pictures from new IPhones on instagram have weird olive tint). XR colors looks great for my taste, but I want a bigger sensor and larger aperture.
i had an SE 2020 (which has a very similar camera to the xr) and i lost it while drunk at a party a few months ago. i saved up some money since then and bought the 14, and while the camera is better, the xr still does fine (im talking bout my SE, but as i said, they have similar cameras).

Is it me or did they all look the same?
In still shots there are very minor differences only some subtle ones here and there.
Although as someone who owns both, the XR is a bit outdated specially when comparing the overall dynamic capabilities of both camera systems.
If you're just in it for the cameras then XR is still a solid choice but don't expect the software experience to be as smooth as the new ones.
In general 14 is better but according to the close to object shots I more like Xr.
Yeah I completely agree, wasn’t expecting that outcome.
@@jxckwrd It's a matter of the bigger sensor or something like that. But it can be disappointing. I switched from 11 to 14 - I don't regret but sometimes I notice 11 was better in lots of situations.
Yeah pretty big step up there. Similar to me, I upgraded from the XR to the 14 and it’s quite a noticeable difference
