Germany would've beaten any of the other teams still in the tournament! Unfortunately the 2 best teams faced each other too early! What a game!
If Germany had won, I would be sad, but not disappointed, because they were the other best team, in my opinion. I always said that whoever won our match, would win the tournament, whether it was Spain or Germany.

After watching Spain vs Germany it becomes so hard for me to watch Portugal vs France because the other one is entertaining and the other one is boring
It's like they remembered that the opponent also had a goal for 5 minutes each half 😂
We usually think that they are boring games but technically they played that, it seemed like a loop, you know? one of those gifs. France is a bone.
If you think France v Portugal was boring you don’t like the sport. Both teams played football just were unlucky when it came to finishing at times. It wasn’t a lack of ambition for either team.
Tienes razón 😃💯
Portugal vs. France did pick up towards the end of regulation with a lot of goal to goal action and became much more entertaining, but it was pretty boring up to that point.
Germany (and Spain for that matter) got very unlucky with the draw. They've been the best two teams in the tournament.

This should have been the final. I doubt we would see a better game than this game, in the remainder of the tournament. This was a classic game which will be remembered in the history of euro.
Spain vs France will be a boring game since France continues to play their usual pragmatic or boring football.

Rubbish….
Am still baffled by French team , in d semi final without scoring any goal. All their goals are own goals & penalty shootout & they are d bookie’s favorite.
because the bookies understand 1: Their defence is impenetrable. Defence wins your tournaments. its a knock out competition, its not about winning pretty, you justhave to win. France have always focused on their defence first, and theyve reached 3 of their 4 last major competition finals winning 2 of them, the one final they didnt manage to reach.... another defensive team (Italy) won it.
2.Mix that with a midfield that can go toe to toe with anyone, an attack which consists of the worlds best player, a manager and a squad full of players have been in finals before with LOTS of experience... you have a team than can win against anyone. why do you think they have already faced 3 top oppositions in Holland/Belgium/Portugal and still advancing ? lol its not pretty to watch but defence wins tournaments.

The Spanish team was the favourite for me before this game, but I was surprised that Germany was more than able to keep up. That's why it gives hope for the next competitions and the Germans can still be proud. But this time we have to be fair and say - congratulations Spain!
In case of the "handball" you have to consider what the result of this action could be. And here it was a clear shot on the goal, that has been stopped. So clear goal avoided, what a big mistake from the referee!
Aww keep crying 😂just like in the world cup and when Spain played Japan and the ball was over the line but the Japan player bought it back and scored a goal and it stood and Spain lost in the round of 16 no one talked about that Var wasn't used there so shut up
its not a mistake. Acooriding to the rules it is the correct decision
Kroos destroyed Pedri (who wasn't 100% to begin with) and didn't even get a yellow, so he had the option of committing a flagrant foul later by yanking Olmo back when he was heading towards a one-on-one with Neuer. Kroos couldn't have done that if he had received the first yellow when he so deserved it, when he killed Pedri. On the other hand, Kroos did Spain a favor because Olmo was fantastic.
Don’t forget, Germany tries to play a nasty game and fought to force themself to win this match. Spain knew it from the matches before and accepted the German's game and joined in. Spain has the quality to finish any game for their favor, because they are skilled with and WITOUT the ball. At the end Spain got a lucky ending.
I was marveling the entire game at the way Kroos was committing one foul and the other and the ref simply ignored it until he finally committed a foul that couldn't be ignored.
To me, the real shocking one was the "foul" on Oyarzabal just out of the penalty box in Extra Time. He literally pushed him with both hands and Taylor didn't call it.

Efectivamente, debió haber expulsado a Tony Kros antes de los 15 minutos de juego, por las entradas a Pedro que quedó lesionado y a Lamal con un pisotón incluido (dos tarjetas amarillas que no fueron mostradas). @@impexRQ From the 60th minute onwards, there was not much to see from Spain. They just had that little bit of luck at the end. If you only decide the game in the 119th minute without creating the better scoring chances, you don't have to say that you were much better. Both teams were on an equal footing and played a good game. As a German, I enjoyed watching this game and I wish there were more games at this level during this European Championship.
The referee let a few things slide on both sides, but overall it was okay for me. For me personally, Germany had to many unnecessary fouls in the beginning and Spain were crying too much. Toni Kroos should have gotten a yellow early on, but he would take care after that and avoid a second yellow, so one shouldn't assume he should get a red. Sacking Luis Enrique after the World Cup and hiring De La Fuente is turning out to be a blessing for Spain.
Great player selection from him. No bias at all.
Besides that, one of the most important steps he took is to combine possession based football with a fast and direct playing style, rather than passing the ball constantly without any purpose. Spain was stuck in this phase since 2014.

I would say Spain played better the first 55-60 minutes and then Germany played better the following 60 minutes. A more fair result would have been 2-2 and go to pks. On the contrary, Germany played very violently, and the ref allowed too many tackles which ended in several players getting injured. The Cuquerella handball is preceeded by an offside. Moot point
Nobody knows. Did you saw any pictures who proves your point? Guess no, so stfu
No it wasn't. And that wasn't what they called anyway. Blocking a shot in the box with your hand is a penalty, whether you meant to or not. It alters the play. This has always been. The Cucurella handball is the literal textbook definition of said situation. If you do not believe this, answer me this: why do defenders place their hands behind their back when defending inside the box? If it's good enough to just put them at their side they would do that. But that's not what the rules allow. Anyone with eyes that work and basic common sense can tell that's a handball and warrants a penalty shot.
@@mattmarlman2386 nobody is more blind than those that don't want to see. He received the ball offside and controlled it with the arm prior to the handball. It's a moot point, go and rewatch the images
@@JosesAmazingWorlds no, i watched it over and over again in german Television. The UEFA would release the video when it were offside or handball just to get the Ref out of the discussion. Wasnt offside and wasnt a clear handball. Stop making wrong statements to prove your point. Congrats to spain, but it should have been a penalty.
Germany showed spirit 🎉
Spain was an embarassement.
-Went on playing twice when German players were injured
-Nacho acting like Wirtz broke his nack when he didn't even touch him
-Carvajal Just tearing Musiala down in the 120 knowing that getting send off wouldn't get him suspended
-The non given Penalty
I forgot another thing or two. Was just to much to remember.
Go cry to your mama 😂
Whatever makes you feel better, buddy. You can have the "I deserved to win" medal if you want. At the end of every competition, every fan has that for their team, because their team is always the one treated unfairly and the one that should have won but didn't because Mars was in retrograde with Mercury on a Thursday while wearing red underwear on the moth of Shamain.
@@JackDespero Did I say anything about Germany? Nope. I just said Spain is a dirty team regardless of the result people should be supprting the French over them. And since non of the Things I listed was made up you can't say anything about it.
Havertz is the reason Germany loss. He should have never started over Fullkrugg as this stage of the tournament.
Yes and no.
The thing is his plays and position are really good for the biggest opportunities he did it against Denmark and against Spain but he is not a closer…idk if füllkrug could have snatched away those failed passes to create a 1v1 against goalkeepers for a must have goal
@@LazyRecap32his job is to score and he could not even put one in net with all the opportunities he had
Sadly Havertz didn't make a single goal over the entire tournament during the game. He had sooo many chances, but was incapable.
Füllkrug loses every ball and cant pass. he only can be used in the penalty box. Harvertz isnt a scorer but much more reliabal on the pitch.
@@markmeloni2388😂😂😂good one, Havertz can pass???
Germany's victory was completely stolen by the English referee.. England referee's decision was one of the most controversial in history.. England referees are always the worst of all time. It was a perfect handball foul by the Spanish defender, but Anthony Taylor ignored it. I think that karma will go to the England team as well
Germany's victory against Denmark were completely give by the Englis referee.

@@HolgerDanske874 Nonsense Germany clearly deserved to win against Denmark
today spain vs germany it really was really an early finale, and next match spain vs france the same story, I don't know who will be at the finale but these 2 matchs with Spain is TOP
Of course for you, since you're spanish
😂😂👍🙄
Frank Leboeuf is exactly right on the (non-)penalty. "Intention" is the only way to justify not giving it, but intention is just what they tried to get rid off with the rule changes. The real problem is the varying standards within the same tournament. If this was no penalty then Germany should not have been awarded a penalty against Denmark either. Just declare defeat on handball rules then and go back to intention.
The issue is not intention but whether your arm was in a natural position or not.
That is what the rule looks at.
You can have absolutely no intention whatsoever but if you hand was high up in the air or it was wide from your body then it’s a penalty.
If your arm is next to your body, in other words, a natural position of where your arm should be, then obviously can’t give a penalty for that.
If we gave penalties for that, it would mean that the rule book is required to pretend that humans do not have arms on their bodies.
You can imagine how unrealistic that rule would be then.
It was offside
But the issue with "intention" here is, at the start Cucurella has both arms out wide, but when he moves, he only moves his right arm towards his body and keeps his left arm out, which then hits the ball and blocks a shot on goal.
@@luistorrent4905 Do you have a source for that?
@@lisaruhm6681 That's objectively wrong.
Ruiz underrated
Kroos should have had like 5 yellow cards today... There are whole squads that foul less in a whole tournament than Kroos in this match. I am sure Zidane was crying at home wishing he had had this ref on his last match
😂😂
I also thought of the comparison with Zidane.
Carvajal should have been sent off earlier aswell. Rodri deserved a yellow earlier too. Penalty not even checked. Disgrace. Spain is the most pitiful football nation.
Simon should've been sent off for time play. The referee made lots of mistakes.
Lol
The clearest handball in the history of handballs…if this is not even being reviewed, then I want VAR to be gone. Let’s go to the old days.
bruh i just watched this back with 0.5 speed and it was CLEAR OFFSIDE + HANDBALL for Fulkrug first before that Cucurella handball🙄🙄🙄
I am an Indian but I support Germany with all my heart. Of course after the loss I feel gutted. But I will still stand straight and salute the German team.
Two months back no one even thought Germany could go to the Quarter finals. But after Kroos came back the dynamics of this team changed forever. They are now playing with passion and fighting spirit. Too bad we didn't go through but that does happen in football isn't it?!
The biggest loss is Kroos. I became very emotional after the match ended only because of Neuer,Müller and Kroos 🥺
It might be their last tournament. Gündogan too maybe. But it doesn't matter. Kroos,Müller and Neuer have achieved nearly everything in their lifetime. Not getting the Euros wont make it dull. Now we have to see who Nagelsmann offers to take over Kroos's role. Will it be an young Aleksandr Pavlovic? Time will tell....
Congratulations to Spain 👏 They played well. Germany played well too so I am proud of the Germans.
The Germans fought till the last and fell in battle and turned the match into a pyrrhic victory for Spain by making Spanish players receive many yellows . Proud they didn't leave an inch of ground to España.
I will forever remember this class of 2024 🥺🥺👍❤️🇩🇪👑🔥
@abinthomas8412 Our future is secured I think. Musiala and Wirtz are only 21 years of age. They are already world class. Rüdiger, Füllkrug and Kimmich will become the experienced veterans in the team. Promising players like Schlotterbeck, Undav, Aleksandr Pavloviç and Mittelstädt will bloom in the path to the 2026 wc.
Spain is very very Strong
Cucerella is showing Suarez levels to hand ball saves
It was offside dnt cry anymore
There was an offside so the hand is irrelevant as nothing would have counted
You can’t compare both you ballon
I don't think you are getting it. First of all the action was already called off by an attacking off side so the hand ball was not validated. Secondly and most importantly Cucurella was retrieving his arm backwards when the ball striked him meaning that he had zero intentions to stop the ball. A different history would have been a ball coming his way and Cucurella stiking out his arm/hand to try to stop the ball but was not the case. Is kind of like when you are about to fall and the first reaction is to extend your arms to cushion the fall. in this action Cucurella was already moving his arm back before he was unintetionally hit.
There was an offside.. Stop putting your eggs in that "hAnDbaLL" basket 😂
Nico Williams, the best !!!
Rodri outmastered Kroos today, just the decision making and coolness under pressure in midfield is off the charts
Rodri is perfect
I am German. We know this since ages that the No 6 position is the most important position in football. Rodri is the best player in world football without a doubt. They still give balon d'ors to players like Vini...
Toni kross is impact player for spain he got pedri out dani olmo in who scored and assisted.
You mean Kroos? Because you still can't get his name right after 20 years 😂
Antony Taylor was disastrous, nearly losing control. Germany had a definate penalty declined, not even looked at in VAR. The ball was stopped going towards goal. More yellow cards than any other game, some for shocking tackles that deserved red.
Worst referee ever.
yeah, worst refree for Spain. Shouldn't have allowed such a physical and dirty game by the Germans without punishments, Spain would have simply obliterated them.
Wirtz was offside, so it was NEVER a penalty

On Balance Germany should have at least taken this to penaltys, or even won. But well done Spain. The two best teams to watch by far.
This should have been played in the final Euro 2024 match
It's very unfortunate this game wasn't final these two teams are way better than any other team
Kroos deserved 2 red cards in this game
Havertz costed germany big times
He's really talented in everything except scoring goals which is unfortunate for his position
Arsenal players always cost their national teams. Just ask Thierry. He never did anything for France in finals. The likes of trezeguet had to get it done
I said it that not 🌟 Fullkrug would end them, Havertz is a wishy washy player who is only good as a false no9 and if you play him somewhere else then you'll hate him also can't finish to save his life
Couldnt agree more. But its also the coach’s responsibility to put him in a position he shouldn’t be playing
the ref costed the germans even more
And now that the game is history I want to congratulate Spain for their victory. I think Germany and Spain had an epic battle. I don't like to go into petty details like "this could have been a penalty or this player should have been got yellows". That doesn't matter. What matters is that football won. Two Titans fought. Only one can advance. Seeing where we (Germany) were a few month ago. This was overall a good campaign. And both teams gave the world a classic we can still talk about in 10 years.
Spain can now move on and win it all. (It's always nice to say - yeah but we only lost to the champions x3 )

The penalty decision was odd for sure but I dont complain about it. Kroos should have received a yellow in the first minute and after that he would have been more cautious.

I never really thought gundogan was any good for us, wirtz needs to play in the position.
As a neutral, I hope any side wins it except France & England. They play as if they're forced to.
Pedri's injury was blessing in disguise.
It doesnt matter if the ball goes to hand. The rule is if the hand stops a ball from a scoring opportunity its a handball! Disgusting they didnt review it
Except that’s not the rule for penalties.
The rule is it’s not a penalty if your arm was in a natural position when the ball made contact.
People have arms and hands, it’s illogical for you to expect the rule book to be designed in a way that pretends that people don’t have these appendages.
@@abongilezolanipeterson5588 In almost ten out of ten cases a ref would call a situation like this a handball. And you know this if you have any ball knowledge.
@@armadspengler2717they use VAR? So they'd review the footage and see his arms went towards his body not away so actually 10/10 times they'd overturn a handball decision when everything is on the screen
That is simply not true. If the player has done all he can to get the arm/hand out of the way but simply can't because he doesn't have time then it does not neccessarily have to be a penalty. Also you ignore the fact that Kroos should have had his second yellow by the 15th minute and Germany should have played most of the game with 10 men. The amount of fouls commited by Germany that should have been yellow cards by the 20th minute is ridiculous. Seriously if that wasn't the home team they would have had at least 8 yellows by half time and Rudiger and Kroos should have had 2 each.
offside before that
Nagelsmann completely lost the team this game. He has some fascination with Havertz who is not a striker, starts Sane after he was awful, doesn't start Wirtz. Fulkrug has more impact off the bench playing 20 minutes than Havertz does playing 70+
