Man there's just something about walking upstairs in that terminal and everyone knowing your name. Definitely good people and Ben and Rodney have probably forgot more than ill ever learn 😂
@@LoveandLifeLLC 🤣🤣🤣 I need to send him the pics I took today. Watched a guy drive a 3 axle military vehicle off a step deck 🤣, idk what the vehicle is actually called
I’m supposed to start at TMC next week for orientation. My end goal however is to get into heavy haul. I was told by a heavy haul company I first needed to go get OTR experience before they could bring me on and they suggested I try Boyd Bros because that is their sister company for rookies. So I guess my question is…. stay with TMC or go to Boyd?? Which is better?
Depends on where you live, home time you're expecting, pay, etc... I would say stay with TMC since you're already set up to roll with them. They're a much bigger company and they haul boats and stuff which may help you towards your end goal
@@LoveandLifeLLC Thanks for the feedback. I live in ATL. Not really worried about home time because I don’t have any kids so I can pretty much stay on the road and run it up. Decent pay is a plus, but I’ve been told first year pay is goina be ass anywhere I go fresh out of CDL school. My main thing is safety and thorough securing/strapping training
Yeah TMC might be a good fit for you then. Boyd has plenty of freight in Georgia so if you decided to go there, you'd be good either way. Hope it all works out for you ☝🏽
Can you explain what you mean by you need to get home more I thought you get home every weekend with Boyd or as an o/o you can go home whenever you want…. Are you saying going home every weekend you want make money
@sedrickwilliams2343 I could "go home" whenever I wanted with Boyd. The problem with that is because I live in Pensacola, it's a bad freight area so getting home for me usually meant going outta route which costs me fuel. And they didn't have frequent freight for where I live. That's all
@@granlyrodriguez1061 that varies wildly… no different than any other company, just depends on freight, fuel prices if leasing, etc… but once I bought my own truck I made around 2500 weekly, after expenses. Sometimes way higher

@LoveandLifeLLC I miss the people that's for sure. I just texted bj 5 min ago. He's probably like why does this mf still text me 🤣
Oh well he'll be alright 🤣 I still get on Nick nerves 🤣

Just need to be home more. And Shelton could do that. That was all
how long do need to be there to become a lease owner ?
4-6 weeks unless it's changed
@@LoveandLifeLLC I hope not trying to get on the lease side quick
@@LoveandLifeLLC not to quick though
Just give them a call and see what's up. You could lease Day 1 when I started there but it changed around March
