    Dig to the side of the clam and also use the handle and pound the sand they will create a hole and just dig them up clam guns are fun too

    Wild to see snagging! I used to snag salmon in western ny back in the 90s using Michigan crickets. Man when you snag the tail end it’s rough!! Specially when that 3 oz lead with a treble hook comes a whistling at your face breaking the sound barrier! I seen a lot of guys leave in an ambulance it was epic 🤣

    And pro tip, that i forgot to mention, when u hook up on the big ones like you did it’s best to walk em down to the soft water in the lagoon or on the top of the lagoon where the water softens up 😢

    wow i cant imagine but i remember being a kid in Kodiak one winter it started snowing in November and didnt stop until April. I was in Jr High School then later my first year in High school and while in Jr High we had to get to school on snow shoes on base. We were on a naval base That winter i was soooooo very tired of snow and ice i wanted to see grass ground anything but snow. I feel your pain lol.

    Now that you’ve lived there, what 10 day fly in camp fishing trip would you recommend. Pure remote, variety of fish would be cool. ❤ Nice job on this one!

    use a drone camera also ,put a camera on the fishing poles. I have never seen clams before in a live environment other than the seafood bin at the local store.

      It's somewhere around kenai,AK not sure where exactly but the best month is definitely May hope that helps the video gives you a lot of info like you I wish they would share cabin info so others could enjoy if they owned it I would understand I just don't get it

    I would love to go explore Alaska but here is the drawback. Canada has banned hand guns so that sucks trying to go through the Canadian border NOT having my protection on me just totally SUCKS. Anyone's got any advice for me? Great video man!

    Never grab the line, especially some else's. The rod is their to absorb those high energy pulses from the fish when you grab the line you'll snap it or pull the hook.
