Wonderful video. This Name feature comes handy in many ways especially in INDIRECT function and when one is selecting same range of cells much often. :)
Very good! Thank you! Your videos I very clear and useful. But I want to use (insert) the data from a cell with a specific name range into another cell but to come together with the formatting ( font size, back color,, or frame). For instance,, I have a cell A7 with a letter inside "V" and range name “tt” and frame and red background color. And I go in cell K9 and type tt to appear V with frame and the same back color but not. Appear only V if I type +tt without format. I saw this effect in one Excel template (Employee Absent Schedule) but cannot understand how they did this. Could you advise me on how I can do this, please?
Nice video! Would you help me with a problem? is it possible to get named range's name from other cells velues? Instead you type the named range in a formula you get it from a text value on another cell.I have a lot of named range like NR01, NR02, NR03 and so on. I would like to write a formula index(NR01; 4,5), but get the "NR01" from the cell A21m the "NR02" from A22 and so on..

Join the mailing list for teachexcel and that was one of the tutorials in there this week lol. Short answer is just create your dynamic formula in the worksheet and pop it into a named range - it can be tricky but if you do it step-by-step it should work fine. www.teachexcel.com/excel-tutorial/dynamic-named-range-in-excel_1303.html?nav=yt
Super useful! Important point you made was “making things easier for coworkers”. We always forget that bit….
A very powerful option (and well explained).
This is awesome. I didn't know you could do that with constants. I'll put that to use.
Absolutely one of the best tips for name ranges!
Really useful video. Especially the part about naming the range based on selection.
Glad you like it!
Great tips! Thanks!!

If I have time for this, I will, but if you need a quick answer, ask in the forum on teachexcel.com
How do we create a function for a named range for dynamic range?
