Ado is associated to vocaloids because when she was a kid she listened to vocaloid songs and it blew her mind, that was her motivation for becoming a singer. Before she was famous she was doing covers of vocaloid songs on her niconico (japanese youtube) account, and she still releases some from time to time. Many of the songwriters that write for her are also vocaloid artists.
Buriki no Dance specifically is a vocaloid song that she's covering.
"歌いました"/"I sang" is not part of the song title - it just means that Ado covered the song. 🙂 Whenever she does a cover she adds it to the end of the RUclips title. Great reaction to a great song btw.
more Ado🔥
missing♪ next please🙏
So, Vocaloid songs are music produced by somebody, known as a Vocalo-P (short for Vocaloid Producer), who uses a voice synthesizer as the "Vocalist" (pretty much a program that can make Siri sing). It's a compound word from "Vocalist" and "Android" and this software has been around for about 20 years now. In my opinion, this technology has changed modern day J-Pop. The most popular Vocaloid is Hatsune Miku, who has collaborated with many artists and Ado is going to release a single collaborating with her/it next month.
The reason I say that this has changed the J-Pop scene is because it has created this cat and mouse game where Vocalo-P's would create pieces that are extremely difficult for a human to sing due to its speed, vocal range and/or long-winded phrases (since Vocaloids don't need to breathe) and singers, known as Utaite, would take them on as a challenge to be able to successfully sing them. A lot of famous J-Pop artists and producers are former Vocalo-P's such as Giga (who wrote "Show" and "Odo" for Ado), Ayase (the producer for YOASOBI), Tatsuya Kitani and Kenshi Yonezu (two of the most famous male artists in Japan).
Ado is a HUGE Vocaloid fan and the majority of the songs that she covers are Vocaloid songs. Also, a lot of the producers for Ado's originals are Vocalo-Ps as well.
1. People created Vocaloid to mimic human voice.
2. People trained Vocaloid to sing in a ways impossible for human artists.
3. People started covering Vocaloid and learned how to sing in a ways previously impossible for human artists.
ほんまに好きそうで楽しかったです♪
アドちゃんの歌声はスーパーマンてすよね
Four songs you'd definitely enjoy (at least I think so because they're all pretty rock-heavy) would be Yukue Shirezu (official English title "missing"), written and composed by Sheena Ringo, one of Ado's idols and one of the biggest Rock 'n Roll singers of the last 30 years in Japan. Ibara, written and composed by Vaundy, a solo artist and one of the most successful (Pop-)Rock producers in Japan at the moment. Value, produced by very successful Vocaloid Producer Police Piccadilly. And Rebellion, written and composed by Chinozo, another Vocaloid Producer.
Ado covers a lot of Vocaloid songs and works with vocasynth producers to compose & write original music.
Vocaloid / vocal synth can be considered a "genre" of music but anyone can use the software which makes it available in any genre!!
Producers will use different voices attached to different characters in their songs, it's encouraged to make covers of vocaloid songs which one reason the genre is so infamous
Well, now she writes songs herself.
By the way, in her live performance she also has a keyboard player, and the guitarist plays funky.
Vocaloid is a voice synthesizer developed by Yamaha. you enter lyrics and melody and the software will more or less do the rest. With vocaloid, you don't have to think about breathing techniques for the singer, so it often goes very quickly. The most famous vocaloid is Hatsune Miku. It is Hatsune Miku who sings the original version of Wagakki Band's biggest hit Senbonzakura. Wagakki Band like Ado has many covers of songs made first for vocaloid.
Why not do a comparison of vocaloid songs performed by Hatsune Miku and the Wagakki Band. There are live versions of both Hatsune Miku's version and the Wagakki band version of the super hit Senbonsakura
