I never thought about this the way you did, but listening to you, it actually makes a lot of sense and I can resonate so much with what you said. The rabbit hole thing is so truthful, being a programmer feels like a neverending rabbit role, we are constantly learning new things and being challenging by new problems, and we are okay with that, we actually seek the next breakthrough problem or thing to learn that's gonna improve ourselves even more as programmers. At least that's how I feel 😄 Anyways, please do more videos on these topics and subjects, it is super interesting altough I imagine will be for a small niche of people. I'll definitely try to remember to come back to this video and read the comments, I'm sure there will be other interesting points. Your channel is really good, I resonate a lot with your videos and the way you think and live, keep it up I hope to see more of your content soon.
Thank you brother, I will absolutely try to speak more about it as I learn more - I have just got the Church Fathers set, so I have about 32,000 pages to dig through and read! God bless
I've been a programmer for 20yrs. I joined the Orthodox church with my whole family in 2020. Stumbled on your video about your linux setup and then noticed you're a Orthodox Inquirer in your bio. Just dropping some love.
Ironically i got a little more closer to god after i invest more time with linux, i was always an orthodox christian because of my family that's how i grew up, but i was never thinking about it much , going down the rabbit hole trying to understand more and more about Linux,Networking,Programming it indeed help me to grow a better faith, but i always feel like i have a long way to go.
@@JoshuaBlais nothing special, it comes preconfigured and assembled so I just got used to existing layout, it works quite well, but I love the quality and sound is like breaking a chocolate, blurry yellow switches
I joined the church before I got into programming, but I resonated deeply with your point on boolean logic. I came from a non-denominational protestant background, left, and then came into the Catholic church because they had answers to moral relativism, which I couldn't solve from a protestant context. Much love from a Roman Catholic brother here. You've got a new subscriber!
God bless brother, I too have returned to the Catholic Church after almost a year as an Orthodox Inquirer. The intellectual history and tradition of Catholicism is what finally pulled me back in.

I feel as if the comfort with the rabbit hole is a big part of it - we've come so far yet still have so far to go! God bless

Whatever did happen to Luke Smith? I haven't seen one of his videos in a long time.
I think he's living his life, still makes contributions to his repositories fairly regularly.
All good, but I wish you hadn’t selected a thumbnail image which makes Jesus look like a muscly white guy, he would not have looked like that.
We are all about the memes on this channel! Haha
Exactly this but for me its Islam.
God bless brother
