    Ma shaa Allah! Great tutorial brother! As I recite, I've noticed that we can differentiate between the moon and sun ال simply by looking if there's a symbol (Such as sukoon.) on the ال.
    No symbol, then it's the sun ال.
    Have a symbol, then it's the moon ال.

    • @sasarozechan7776
      @sasarozechan7776 Год назад +1

      Yes and the sun ال is an ال followed by a shadda ّ the symbol for double letter if there isn't a shadda then its a moon ال . You just have to remember the two words the sun and the moon الشّمس و الْقمر and compar it to the other words

    Masha-Allah, it's clear gof sn average beginner to understand the glorious Qur'an with such details you provide. However, there are two more rules gor Hamzatul Wasl appearing at the beginning without the definitive article (AL):
    1. If there is no Lam in it, then you have to look at the third letter of the word to see if it has a domma on it, e.g ٱنظُرۡ which is pronounced "unzur".
    Second rule: If the Hamzatul Wasl is not preceded by a lam at the beginning, and the third letter doesn't carry a domma, then its pronounced as with Kasra e.g اصطلاحی

    Hamza wasl is the most tricky thing I find in saudi print of the quran. Because when in all the cases where you stopped before it and HAVE TO pronounce the hamza, you are completely at a loss wondering whether you pronounce it with fatha, hamma or kasra [ a, i or o]. As it depends on your previous knowledge of arabic and exactly that word, and no sign in the print indicating what that might be.

    • @Arabic101
      @Arabic101  4 года назад +23

      Asslamo alikom brother,
      It's funny subhanAllah .. The answer to your question was part of the video but I took it out of the final product because the video got too long, and it would have been less effective, so I decided to split the lesson into two for maximum benefit in shaa Allah. So there will be a part II in shaa Allah for this video to explain this and other points that I left out, but I'll give you the answer now, and be sure that I'll explain it much better in PART II in shaa Allah:
      The answer:
      The way you determine the harakat of hamza wasl is by looking at the third letter of the verb:
      - If the third letter had dhamma ُ اسجُد then you'll copy it to the hamaza wasl and you'll say اُسجُد
      - If the third letter had kasra ِ اصبـِر or fatha استقم then you'll kasrah to hamza wasl
      Of course there are some exceptions to this rule, but like I said stay tuned in shaa Allah, and you'll it coming to my channel.
      I hope I answered your question.

      Jazakum Allahu khairan brother/ sister,
      If it comes at the beginning of the word, it will always be called hamza.
      And if it comes anywhere else in the word with that sign ء it is also hamza.
      Other than that, it is an alif .. I'll make a lesson about that in shaa Allah to give examples as well.

    JazakAllah khairan. Great video. I have one confusion, when there is a hamza wasl and we need to pronounce it (like for it coming at the start of a word) how to tell whether it’ll take on a fatah, kasrah or damma?

    Salam aalikoum, i have a question at 1:45 there is a hamza you extend the sound for أَنفُسُكُمْ but not for أَمْرًا , why ? because in a previous lesson comparating alif ا and hamza أ you say that alif is vowel and hamza is consonant and it can’t be extend.

      Wa alikom asslam brother,
      What you describe is not related to the hamza, but is related to the ن which comes after the hamza in the word أَنفُسُكُمْ . What I am extending is the ghunnah of the noon ن but not the hamza.
      As for the word أمرا the meem م is not extended in the same way as the ن
      For a quick explanation at that particular rule, check out this lesson ruclips.net/video/hy8V7CsxaQk/видео.html
      If you still have a question, or the video raised other questions, let me know, I will help you further in shaa Allah
      Asslamo alikom
