Breeding Killifish and Blue Eyes - Our Way

Ulla and I have been breeding killifish and Pseudomugil (blue eyes) for more years than I care to think about. In this video you get a peek into our breeding tanks, and we share our method. We breed non-annual killifish and blue eyes in nearly the same way. There are several other ways to breed these fish, but this is what works for us. Tried and tested on hundreds young and strong fish.
And there is a short update on the new rack as well. Hope you enjoy it.

I really hope that I will have some success with breeding later. I never did a serious try with my luminatus, and now I regret it, they've started to die of old age and I can't find them in Sweden at the moment... I have the furcatus as well, and threadfins, and have just bought my first killifish. So at least I have some fish to practice with before getting a new group of luminatus :)

Hi Allan. They arent crashing, since they have a thick foam pad beneath the tanks. And they have been that way for years. But that rack is no good, and is about to be changed in the coming week. Nope, this one isn't alunium. Cheers, Michael 🙂

In the small fry jars i change water a couple of times a week. I primarily use live food, but powdered flage food is useful as well. In my opinion at live food is superior, though. Cheers, Michael 🙂

Thank you, I am breeding at room temperature 20 - 24 degree C. Yes I change water on a regular basis in the small fry tanks. Usually twice a week. Cheers, Michael 🙂
