Good video, subbed and thanks for the info and great recipe. A great restaurant trick we used was a damp cloth under the cutting board to stop it from sliding around.
Bro, those are expensive!!! I'm sure I could get them to send me some for free but my channel is about saving people money and more for beginner cooks. I appreciate the tip though, I love me some good knives!!
@@cookingwithbigcat I rewatched it & noticed you did so my bad. I meant to comment back about it but you beat me too it. Lol. I picked up the Blackstone Airfryer combo last yr & am loving every bit of it. Stumbled on your channel & subscribed immediately as we have very similiar cooking habits. I like your style brother👍🏻 Keep em coming! 👊🏻😎
Congratulations to the Big Cat Team 1000! I knew you had a force behind you....lol.....She does great videos and keeps you looking smooth..The Philly Cheese looks awesome...Keep em coming Big Cat Team.....Thanks for sharing!
Saw you on CJ's show yesterday-Whiskey & Cigars. Yes women watch it!! (CJ does't think so) Didn't know your site. Love the Blackstone! CJ prompted me to subscribe to you to bring you up to 1,000, so I did. Glad I did cuz loved your Philly steak today! Bring it on.
I buy whole beef tenderloins and break them down myself and there is a nice strip of meat on the side called the "chain" and I use it for cheesesteaks. I used to grill it whole on my Kettle and then chop for the sandwiches but I'm going to slice it up and put it on the Blackstone tonight. Next time I'm going to try using the shaved rib-eye my grocer carries.
Wow that sounds great John... I've seen thin cut Ribeyes but never shaved. I'm going to ask my butcher at Publix to do that, I'm sure he will. Thanks for the awesome tip!!!
congratulations on getting to 1,000 subscribers. Those philly's looked fantastic. Love your blackstone video's. I really like that it is only a 22 inch. I have a 17 inch & have the stand you have. Took it camping with me & cooked all the meals on it. Worked out great.
Thanks bro, I love my 22". I keep thinking about getting a 36" but it's usually only 2 of us and you can cook a lot of food on the 22 or 17 inch. Plus it's great for camping to your point. 🐯
I hear you. I get a lot of stuff at Aldis for basically half the price and just as good or better. However, there are some things that Publix has that you cannot find at Aldis. Plus the customer service at Publix is second to none and that goes a long way for me. Appreciate the comment!!!
Just got my 28" Blackstone this week and looking forward to making some Philly Cheese Steaks. I really love my Blackstone, keep cooking the great looking food. NICE
I would added mushrooms you can't have a steak and cheese sandwich without mushrooms That is the all time favorite sandwich you would love it please comment back thank you for the ideas it was a learning experience happy cooking
I think it's pretty much impossible to replicate the Philly Cheese unless you are actually in Philly. I have never been to Philly but it's on my hitlist for sure!!! Thanks James
Cooking with Big Cat 305 that was my first attempt at a steak Sammy. I did two with provolone and one with cheese wiz. I didn’t think I’d like the wiz one, but it was really fricking good.
I will definitely try this . It looks so good except I will use Swiss cheese since I am so hooked on it. I add it to everything, even pizza. Thanks for making this video.
To me, Swiss cheese makes any pizza so much better along with the mazzarella cheese and doesn't matter what pizza it's on, from a pizza shop pizza or a supermarket frozen pizza. And I like your suggestion using ham too. This I will try, for sure. I hope you make a video of it. And please, don't skimp on the Swiss. You'll love it and don't forget the ham.
@@cookingwithbigcat Bought the same grill for the wife and I, will be lookin forwards to trying your recipes once i get a patio roof put up.. too hot until then. And yall helped me determine the grill's big enough for 2 plus👍
Thanks for the comment Sarah! Got the "Grill Dome" at Walmart for $9.97. I've had a lot of people asking about it, works great but not in every Walmart.
Okay, but you’ll never find a real Philly cheesesteak with Cheese Whiz on it. Isn’t that a heart attack waiting to happen? Just kidding. Do your thing.
I’m from Philly and you did a great job. Except for the cheese wiz. A real Philly cheesesteak does not use cheese whiz. One particular tourist place uses that and everyone thinks that’s what you should use just use American or provolone cheese. Can you tell me where you got that black table you are using to put the food on as you cook?
Love the feedback and education. I did a lot of research before I made this but tourist places kind of screw things up. That's why locals never go to tourist places (besides the high prices). Thanks for watching!!!
👍 got called out of retirement for hurricane Barry got to get lights bk on. First meal bk tonight on my Blackstone also your my 1st video bk. My relax time “Big Cat” masked it happen👌.

Awesome! Thank you!
Provalone is the star of a philly cheese steak.

Big Cat- you should try CUTCO knives. Pricey but Crazy sharp, and lifetime warranty. Everything they make is the bomb!.

Great technic flipping on that bun.
Thanks SlikRik, love the name by the way lol... I learned that by watching all the folks from Philly making these. Appreciate you stopping by...
Some sautéed mushrooms added to those Phillys would take it to outer space! Looks delish!
OMG I looove sauteed mushrooms. Yes I agree I need to make another one the way I like it for sure. Thanks Gary!!!
Sliced peppers? (I’m not from Philly)
That looked like a great sammich. Very Nice

Pro tip… salt at the end. Too early takes the moisture out. Looks amazing though man, thanks!
You forgot the bellpepper. Still looked tasty.
Thanks for the comment. You just gave me an excuse to make some more cheese steaks lol...
Looks good to me and has my mouth watering too. I hope you have a slice of lime for that Corona. Go Cat go...........

Bell peppers w/ the onions would have been better..
I'm with you, was just trying to do the Philly thing lol... Thanks Super Dave!!!
A- fat is the juice. B- your little cubes are not tradional cheese steak
Thanks for your input
Toasting the bread with garlic butter could have nice.
I used to make a garlic mayo and toast it before adding the meat/cheese. Great idea!!! Thanks for stopping by

Wow that sounds AWESOME, go for it and let me know how it turns out...
man- use them fat trimmin's instead of oil....
Great comment, I will definitely do that next time!!! Thanks for the comment!!!
Please don't call it cheez whiz. It's cheese want to be.
LOL I hear you!!!
What the fuck is cheese whiz??
It's processed cheese spelled Cheese Whiz sold by Kraft foods.
Who in the Philly area starts a cheesesteak like that on a cutting board? I had to stop watching because of it.
Not from Philly so I guess that explains it LOL. Tried my best brother...
